Had sentry mod couple of days and locking nut is stuck! Happened few times now but this time it is impossible to get off!
Not tried pliers etc yet, off to quickly pop to shop bought it from, but is this common? Think it cross threads when locks.
No cloud chasing for me today lol.

Don't whatever you do apply pliers ..... these locking rings are very thin and even firm finger and thumb pressure can make them bind as they buckle ... less is more when loosening a locking ring .... try barely touching it while gently turning it.

Think it might be to late then, only used hands but it is well stuck. Someone at brum vape meet at mailbox suggested tapping it to shock it off. Dam waste of money if I've bust it already. Went greyhaze and waited till ten to eleven but no one showed. Will have to pop over in week. Well gutted!

Try a rubber band around the ring to allow you a decent non slip grip

Try a rubber band around the ring to allow you a decent non slip grip I love you! Wasn't easy but worked! Really thought I'd knackered it, will be more careful in future.

The best, and cheapest, solution is this non-slip matting stuff. You can get it anywhere, including pound shops, ebay, etc. A couple of strips of this will solve all your un-screwing needs! Every vaper should have some

Will have to get some, for now I'll just keep a wide elastic band in me pocket.

Stuck again. Honestly, are all bottom locking nut mods as bad as this? If so this is my last one. It doesn't really 'lock' but when is does is is bloody hard to unlock. Elastic band trick not working, sliced my fingers up trying to get the bugger open, off to give up till tomorrow otherwise it will end up being smashed up with a hammer!!

Fixed, well replaced. Took it in today and they couldn't get the dam thing open either.
Gave me new end and all good now, much smoother so perhaps bit faulty, doesn't seem to jump off the thread at end then cross thread.
Glad they could help as look of the thing has really grown on me. Hope this end lasts.

boyofford, pop into a locksmith shop or maybe a good hardware shop and get a bottle of graphite powder. Open the locking ring fully and give it a puff of powder then run the ring up and down a few times. Once you have got all the grey crap off your hands the action should be smooth as silk and stay that way.

I have used that trick in the past by running the point of a soft pencil around the male threads ... works a treat and costs nowt.

I got the impression he didn't want to dismantle it.
