Nice find.

I got one a few weeks ago to replace the silvercrest one from Lidl. Not sure if it's not working, or if it's bad luck though? There is no blue light (like there was with the Lidl Silvercrest), but that could just be that there is no internal light, not worried about that. But there appears to be no water agitation, or increase in water temps after use. Am I expecting too much? Or is this one also faulty.

There is no blue light in the Maplin UC, just a power on light at the front. If it buzzes and agitates the water then it is working OK, if not, it is broken. I use hot water in mine (as recommended) so I can't say whether or not the UC heats the water further.

It is probably working fine mate  ... I think most of the water agitation in mine is down to the half Steredent tablet that I always add 

The half a Steredent tablet was fiddles tip

The big question Is is it cleaning stuff

there is very little water agitation to be seen but if you run 2 full cycles back to back you should feel temp of water is warmer

Yep & I still use it kills of any lingering odors & helps cleaning

Due to the frequency I think you only see minimal agitation, as long as it's cleaning things.

I hope fiddles takes his teeth out first with the sterident tip @freefromsmoking, I am having visions of atties rattling about with dentures chasing them

I see very little agitation when using mine & no discernable increase in temp either, however, i had dramatic results on some concentrate i had so i would say it's working as it should.
