Windows 32bit max memory is 4gb---- problem being Os and Antivirus will eat 60% of it Surely not? I run 32 bit Windows on machine designed for 64 bit windows. It has 4gb of ram. The reason I use the 32bit is to use old, old XP software. (£2,000 worth) If I check what's going on, is that what I'd see. Holy moly. It just flies though as a computer. SSD + HDD. Expensive sound card, £125 graphics card (pretty low rent!!). I love it.

All comps are mostly 64bit[CPU} now, just as cost cutting and give customer the choice to upgrade to 64 bit OS[ 32bit is built in to the 64 bit OS to]hence why many have 64 bit chips but loaded with 32bit OS only, reason for your flying is most of your start up programmes will be on the ssd drive, word of warning apparently theres an issue with SSD basic dont defragment it with Windows, causes a lot to fail
