Me too. I will jump in and ask if anyone knows. Why for months the famous Grants Vanilla Custard is out of stock? I read so much about this. Is it no longer to be available, does anyone know/ I keep checking the site and always the same. Out Of Stock? Have many on here actually tried it. Is it hype? The amount of sales he must be losing is massive. Can any one compare say 'Kings' with it? I've never tried it and wont bother but find it odd after reading so much hype about it? When I spoke to Grant back in August he had to unexpectedly go away with work and sold what he had left to various shops such as cloud9 and pinkmule. He didn't give a time scale as to how long he would be away. vapourart have it listed on their site at €46 for 100mls but I'm not entirely sure whether it is actually in stock and available.. Him going away jumpstarted my yearn to mix my own custard and I've happily done so ever since..

Thought I would report this here, as this is where people are asking about custard. I have tried 5 custards, my fave from those for the most authentic tasting custard is without a doubt Vaping Kings Vanilla Custard.
However I recently tried Grants, and it is the best I have had. Why? It tastes really custardy. It is not overly creamy, it is not overly sweet, you get no other flavours really, just a nice strong custard. From those I have previously tried Kings is the closest.
I now have ABC to try, and I also made 5 different samples for myself, so will report back if anything is worth reporting lol.

At that strength it is quite creamy itself, but not quite right, it is made better by adding capella French vanilla. Anything less than 24% is not custardy. So from all my experimenting I have found - Any recipe with less than 24% cap vc in is not right. Cap vc @ 24% on its own is ok- ish. ( vapable) Cap vc at 24% plus cap French van @ 6% is too creamy. So my fave so far has been 24% cap vc, and 4% cap French van. I am now cooking a mix at 26% vc and 4% fv to see what difference there is.

The recipe above though for me had too much vanilla in, made it sickly, so my new mix is 26% vc, 4%vanilla

This has made me wonder - is there a vanilla custard concentrate where you don't need 25% + ?

sammy13 all this custard talk it makeing me wanna get my custard vape on think i need to do some buying Have you vaped custard? I always thought urgh no, but then I tried some and since then I have been hooked. There are a lot of different tasting pre-made custard out there though, some powdery, some nothing like custard, some really creamy, some more vanillary so I guess the reason we all come up with different recipes is because we all like a slightly different custard. None are right or wrong, they are just what we as individuals prefer. If I was to go and buy custard to pour over my pudding for tonights meal, I would want to get ambrosia devon custard in a tin. That to me is the most creamiest, nicest custard. Yet the recipes that add sweetner, or too much vanilla I have found too sickly to vape. I have however found that my custard conc must be strong. It was all trial and error, and I have not yet made one that I can say yes that is it, however I am still trying.

Maybe try a pre-made one first , to get an idea of what you may like? Kings is really good, it needs to be left to steep for 3 weeks though.
