hi,
was wondering if all mods etc have the same weak pins that the vamo has and same pin as MVP2 ?
reason I ask is they seem to take a dislike to me and I end up breaking them. I do try and be easy and dont over tighten but.
So my real question is do other Mods have better or more solid connections and if so which ones.

Mech, most APVs have a lump of metal in a rubber grommet sometimes it gets pushed in too far and you should be able to pull it back with needle nose pliers. They generally have a pathetically thin wire soldered to them to connect then to the PCB and often in a rubbish chrome plated brass housing.

mvp has a solid pin which will sink it also has a secondary silicone seal under the grommet but will pry upwards to aid a connection after a full stripdown yesterday of one of these mods I must say the top is very forgiving and an ease to re fix (should the need arise)

i think maybe i didnt get my question across very well. I was hoping that different mods might have a different connection that is more solid or maybe just screws in etc and are a bit more unbreakable. I agree that the MVP is a little bit more forgiving than say a vamo.
maybe its just me being heavy handed.
but would ideally like to buy a mod that is more solid

If you can get inside it u can re solder the wire, so if you can't find a strong one find one you can open to fix maybe. I can't advise in a better APV as gone Mech after 2 LavaTubes and an eVic failed in months. The LavaTube V2 had a telescopic pin fixed to the circuit board, that broke too. Mech & Kick maybe, nowhere near as user friendly to adjust, but would be solid and reliable.
The other really unsatisfactory solution is always use a 510 to 510 adapter/extender, that's what my LavaTube V2 has now and is only used for dry-burning these days and hardly ever at that.

I've never broken a connection on anything I've owned in almost 4 years of vaping Clive, methinks you don't know your own strength . Try not to overtighten what you attach maybe?

I recently bought a Innokin Cool Fire 1 and the centre pin is spring loaded, so it always adjusts to whatever you screw onto it Linky

You may have a problem with the device you are attaching. The RSST probably broke more Vamos than anything else. Have a look at your 510 connectors on your atomizers - some can stick out a little too far and may be adjustable.
