MVP2 Battery Replacement

If, and when, my trusty MVP2 Battery fails, is it possible to replace it, or am I better off getting a new one from myepack? I'd prefer to rebuild it, I can solder wires together (when I can find my glasses) and am OKish with a Multimeter

without pulling it apart.i imagine theres 2 18650's in there,put 2 18350's side by side on mvp,looks like enough room ....but who knows lol

I've not seen the batteries for sale. piper1 does a breakdown and repair of the usb here-

I've bought a mvp v1 cheap off fasttech for when the battery goes as I've spent a lot of time stripping the black paint off mine and polishing it. It would break my heart to chuck it in the recycling bin.

I'll buy another (unless theres something better comealong) then give the old one the strip down treatment to see whats inside, I imagine it'll be some kind of sealed non available battery. Surely somebody must have stripped one by now ?????

mart166 if you go to the link in seniorphils post immediately above yours it shows a stripped down one that piper1 did.

Cheers seniorphil I've tagged piper1 in that thread to see if he knows about battery replacement in the MVP2, I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering!

Cheers did not see that.

So they are sealed oem bats, be interesting to see if anyone finds a replacement.

Slightly off topic... but wonder if could use bits to make a custom mod? If/when my battery starts to fail I'd love to try this.
If can find a battery with similar output and repackage in something else.
