I have a minor problem with the above. There is a ring at the bottom of the connector that keep either falling out or attaching itself to the clearo I am using, I just know I am going to lose it one of these days. Should it have a washer or something attached to keep it in place? I cannot what it's function is.

No Chris is not that one , it is metal screw type only it doesn't screw in anywhere, it slots over the top of the connector and just drops down, nothing holding it in place? As I have never removed the clearomiser connector I fail to see how it has become loose. Should it have a little white O' ring do you think?

There is a brass ring around the outside base of the 510 connector which forms the eGo thread component. As far as I know it's only a friction fit and so could possibly come loose over time. If you only ever use a 510 fitting clearo then it won't be a problem to lose it. If you want to use eVods or similar then it will need to be fixed as they won't work without it.
