90% are fine normally but when you buy that 10% that dont work properly and you dont realise its the cart that is the problem its a pain.
They can be too short, the filler may be too much or too little and yes tight or loose in the atomiser is another variable.
I always keep my old carts just incase I need to rob bits off them.
Ps I amended my post above .

Well first someone has to make a a zero that tastes like a nic liquid and also has throat hit.
Zero I have tried is clear and pretty much tastes like pure pg.

I bought quite a pleasant no-nic from ENjuice but it didn't have much of a throat hit.
Fortunately I have dozens of carts that I fill with fluval to use with my own no-nics. The only way I've found to get a throat hit is to use something such as peppermint flavouring.
I bought 'espresso' and 'anise' directly from flavourArt in Italy, at a fraction of the cost the same product is being sold at in tiny quantities here, that I mix with glycerine from Boots (chemist). Both taste fine but the throat hit isn't there without the nicotine.
Empty carts are ridiculously expensive I think so be sure never to throw any away if they're in good order and always keep the empty ones that come with atties - fluval is a cheap as chips!
I was fortunate to buy loads of OKSmokey's original 901 carts that were compatible with both 901 and 510 atties, however the new ones they stock are the thick whistle-tips and fit only the 901 atties.
I much prefer the round mouthpieces but won't pay the exorbitant prices being asked for blanks.

Foxy, I do the same - ie stuff the carts that come with the atties.
I think that Raggy is looking at buying new stuffed carts due to Trog's opinion (on his Screwdriver forum) that using fluval etc isn't the way to get the best performance from a SD?

Jimmy, out of interest, have you tried the different fish tank filters to restuff your cartridges?

I think that Raggy is looking at buying new stuffed carts due to Trog's opinion (on his Screwdriver forum) that using fluval etc isn't the way to get the best performance from a SD? your right chrissie, and to be honest when i fill with fluval it is either great or total rubbish,i never know whether a tight fit long/short or fluffy fit short/long etc. what do you guys do. and another thing with fluval 2 plus is its in sheets you cut the sheet into strips ie:10mm wide 12mm long. but really it should (ive not done this) be put in the cart in 3 bits. cut a strip 30mm or 1 inch long x 10mm i/3 of an inch wide. then cut it into 3 equal pieces, put them in the cart one at a time, with the top or bottom facing up or down. the reason i say this is the fluval is designed for liquid to run through top to bottom and not through the middle of it. does that make sense ??? also them carts that come free with varying strengths are bloody horrid and it takes hours to get shot of the flavor. ragjoy............
