As an active campaigner in E-cig rights this is (as far as I know) the first time an MP/MEP has come to us to engage directly on the forums.

An MEP who is willing to engage and listen as well as communicate is worth 10 of the useless layabout, spongers in the house of commons that just ignore and line their own nests.

So far Nikki has been there for us, representing us in the EU and at home.
She was the only (that I know of MP) at the BBC vapemeets.

She has my respect, she's actually earned my respect and there are very few (I can count them on less than one hand) MEPs/MPs I now respect after the TPD debacle.

An MEP who claimed that politicians could make “half a million” from five years in the European parliament faces an official investigation into her expenses.



A whistleblower has come forward to allege that Nikki Sinclaire, 42, a former UKIP leadership candidate, regularly claimed nearly £840 for driving the 1,200 miles from her home in Birmingham to the parliament in Strasbourg.



According to the whistleblower she travelled by plane, which for a round trip can cost as little as £260. It is alleged she pocketed the difference, a “profit” of as much as £500. It is also claimed the car for which she claimed the expenses was not even roadworthy.

I agree 100% with Greigster here. We are after all talking about politicians. And I think its worth quoting Greigster in bold
"They all have their own agenda"

Call me cynical, but I can't think of a single politician I would trust. Finding a candidate to vote for is getting harder these days.
