A work colleague told me about a new vaping shop in dundee, Holy Smoke on Albert st for anyone who knows dundee. I thought I'd pop in for a nosy at lunchtime. My god! What a disaster of a place! Only seemed to have wee 600 batteries and ce4s for sale, along with some "oils" under the counter. Staffed by some old bloke (not that there's anything wrong with old blokes, there are quite a few on here...) who didn't have a clue about what he was selling.
I told him I already vaped and was just in to have a look, and quickly flashed my MVP. His response was to say that "they're all the same really, just come in different colours". I asked what liquid they sold, he pulled out a tray of random ejuices, and just said "I don't tell people what to buy, it's your choice".
Didn't recognise the juice, though it said on a poster it was dekang??
Anyway, for those in dundee- avoid this place!!

Sounds like u-drag in Coventry. It opened a few months ago and is staffed by youngsters that seemed to think a 650 ego and ce4 clearo full of juice should be enough to keep a heavy smoker off the stinkies for a week. I didn't even bother to try their unbranded juice :-(

Unfortunately lal, this is one of the side effects of un-regulated e-cigs. Whilst we are all fighting the good fight to prevent an unnecessarily draconian Tobacco Products Directive we also need to stand firm against cowboys. These types of shops will simply fuel the fire of the anti-vaping brigade. OneDay (58)

I popped into a Socialites shop in Glenrothes (Fife) on Sunday to see what all the fuss was about from the lads at work. They having been bigging it up over the last month or so. It was nothing more than a counter with some 600mah batteries & CE4's or the cigalike versions.
I asked what juices they had and was just told "whatevers on the poster" by the po faced woman behind the counter. I have no idea what make the liquid or "oils" as she called them were but it was £10 for 15ml! That was enough for me and i struggled to keep my laugh in at the price and selection that was on offer.
I did state that i was a vaper when i went and was looking at the juices on offer and she was nice to start with but as soon as i flashed her my Nemesis with a Protank on top she would have been aswell telling me to beat it with the way she was acting.

TBH. I had much the same experience in Liverpools new Liberty Flights shop.
Two women in there. Bare shelves. Only selling the ego blister packs.
Was really excited to see LF announce the Liverpool shop on their FB page.
In the women's defence they were both lovely and freely admitted they didn't have a clue. Neither of them vaped or had ever smoked. They said they were hoping to get more stock but couldn't guarantee.

TBH. I had much the same experience in Liverpools new Liberty Flights shop. I am boycotting Liberty Flights. They are so up their own.... First, the whole Australia thing (they are trying to distance themselves, but we all know the score) and this is the 3rd comment about new Franchises opening up with no clue. No clue = damaging to the cause. They are in it for the money now, clear as daylight. Makes them as bad as E-Lites in my book. Not the way to Franchise really is it.

I have to sadly admit that I am underwhelmed by the premises and staff at the new Liberty Flights shop outside Hayle in Cornwall, our only b & M as far as I know. Pathetic stock, mostly stored in the boxes it arrived in, one puny counter and a token sofa. I haven't seen any advertising locally either in the press or other media - what a waste. The staff are young and not very experienced: when I mentioned that I recoiled Protanks and mixed my own juice they seemed impressed but lacking in knowledge of either skill. They could do SO much more - I actually wish now that I had applied for the managers job back in the summer, it could be a thriving shop despite its location. Of course LF aren't cheap at all but that notwithstanding its a chance going begging - anyone fancy starting up a shop in Cornwall?!
Edit: corrected phone spelling!

..I attempted to chat to the lad manning a stand in our local shopping centre, within about 2 minutes I knew I would be wasting breath - he didn't seem to have a clue, just waved his hand ineffectually at the line of nasty ce4's filled with dodgy looking eliquid. They sold basic batteries and the stuff was overpriced

Can't say I've heard anything about an Australia thing. Yeah, it's not anyway to promote. The shop is big, two levels. And literally nothing in there. Whilst I was in two people popped in to ask if they sold flights. Thought it was a travel shop. Poor woman didn't even know what a vivi nova was and was amazed by my SID. Surely you hire people who know about vaping. Preferably people who vape. By contrast. The crystal clear used to be the same but the guy let his sons start working there, they are right into vaping and the shop is a different place. Mods. Different tanks. People who are knowledgable. I go in regularly to see what's new and have a good natter about what's new and juices etc. that's what you want.

was at work so couldn't update. Anyway....
When I went in I was looking in their display cabinet ( very little vaping stuff in them). I noticed some little sachet/packets of stuff. Asked what they were. Legal highs apparently. Soooooooo much wrong with that in my opinion.
At least the other local shop is staffed by blokes who know one end of a clearo from the other..

I will consider myself warned. there is a little shop in that wee dodgy "shopping centre" behind shuh and that. I was in there the other day. They also sell legal highs. I guess that's Dundee for you.

In the forum centre? Is there anything worth going into it for? I thought it was illegal to sell legal highs as legal highs? I thought you had to sell them as plant food or whatever they are??
