ENVI VOTE ON TPD

Today, they voted on the December trialogue proposals .  

Results 49 in favour , 7 against ,4 Abstained 

Time is running short . Next stage is Plenary ( EU Parl MEP ) maybe end Feb /Early March 

I will not spell out what that means if passed there ........ FOOKED good and proper !

Yes we have to face the real fact that vaping as it's known now will become illegal very soon.
Well the law will be brought in very soon but not implemented for a while (hopefully...maybe)
We secured enough votes for amendments to be submitted to plenary and voted on but that's it.
Unless we can get lots of people that hate us to re-write (almost entirely) a poisoned bit of legislation they are determined to put through no matter the cost because it furthers their agenda and that's all the excuse they need.

Time is running out, within a couple of months the other shoe will drop and then it's down to the courts.
That takes years.

Still we've faced massive odds before and done better than expected
We've got no choice but to keep on fighting and being the fly in their ointment.

If nothing else, if all I manage to do is annoy a few MEPs/MPs then so be it


We have of course got the UK battle after the EU, in theory when the EU is lost we may still beat Her Majesty's Government.
But that would require our gov to say they are going to ignore the TPD and do E-cigs properly.
At least it's local and we can meet our MPs face to face

Well it wasn't the Lib Dems that supported us in the vote, they abstained because they don't want to slow the tobacco side of the TPD.
Of course the fact that E-cigs have been hammered into the TPD is the main problem.
If it wasn't the votes "may" have been better for us.

In reality what it means is that after 2016, all V2 &V3 mods will be banned.
Max Nic strength liquid available will be 20mg/ml.
Jiuce bottles max size 10ml.
Max size cartomiser or tank 2ml.
But if UK GOV (MHRA) get their way, e-cigs will be medicinal, so all e-cigs will be under stricter rules.
Flavours still available at present.
My advice : slowly start over next 2 years, bulid up your stocks of Nic Base liquid, and spare parts for your V2 & V3 mods & atties.
Still will be able to get supplies via China, hopefully, but may be confiscated by UK customs.
Not a good day for present or future vapers.
The DEATH REAPER (Linda McAvan + corrupt aristocrats seem to have got BIGT &BIGP regs approved).
I shall continue to fight to try and stop UK (MHRA) medicines being made law, by chasing up our local MP`s.
We may have lost this battle but the war to continue vaping goes on.

Agree 100% but politicians don't care about your or anyone else's health.

We don't have a choice.
MEPs may not care about our lives but we do so we'll take it in our own hands to look after our own health as they can't be trusted.

You're probably correct, vaping isn't making anyone in the EU rich enough.............. Yet !!
