Hi Folks, I've searched all over the net, and found videos explaining how to use the device, but not in ordinary English. Either they do not have very serviceable English, speaking accent with a trace of English, or they don't actually happen to be able to explain it in any useful manner so that I end up being able to understand it after several watches of the video. I am sure I could not do any better, but it seems to me that there must be a way to find out how to use one somewhere? Surely? Then there are documents, a pdf from SvoeMesto that says it's in English, but the translation is so poor they don't really convey how to use the device. There are others but they want me to pay for converting it into a PDF! I've seen the samples they tease with and they are not in normal English either. My problem is I guess that it is not in the English I was taught over half a century ago. At that time I was not given a choice in how English was done so it's not like I did not do my bit to learn English. It does seem odd that this one chip has defeated all attempts so far to say how it works in English! I've seen that reviews say the manual it comes with is in German only, if it is true, then that does not appear overly helpful. ??? Can anyone shed any light on how you can learn to use said device if you are only equipped to speak/read English? Are English people not supposed to buy one? I would admit to "somewhat bewildered" at this point! LOL

Thanks very much for the link, it is to the one I have been wrestling with. It's not really 100% in English; just one small example, what is "Beispiel"? I'm sure that's not any sort of English. I just want to avoid causing any damage due to not being able to properly understand how it's supposed to be used. Some bits are easy to spot as errors, like the "Beispiel" example, however there's a lot of ambiguous bits and I can't know if they are errors or simply a less than decent grasp of English. What would one properly understand this to mean? "The APV is operated by pushing the button min. one time a second. During operation the button letters will be showed on the display." I know what it says, but it's awkwardly constructed and so it's not clear if it's to be trusted 100% or perhaps treated as a mistake, and if so, then how much mistaken is it and in what respect? It may not be the best example, simply one hastily chosen from dozens sprayed right through that manual. It's an unusual problem, as the majority of mods out there don't even have a manual in any language. I hope I have managed to convey the nature of the problem adequately?

There is a great, detailed and understandable video by Navy-Lifeguard Edit I don't think there are any mistakes in there but inevitably with translations a certain amount of interpretation of the instructions is required. With the V3 in you hands the manual becomes very straight forward and imo 100% reliable. " Push the button at least one time a second, each time you push the button information is shown in the displayThe Nivel chip is very straight forward really, a simple one button operation. I found that after 10-15 mins playing I hardly needed to refer to the manual

Yes, thanks, it's a very good video, and I certainly could not have done that or anything remotely like it. However when he gets to the menu system, he has some parts where he will say something, then correct himself and says words that are either indistinct or which he struggles to say, and which I can not guess at, and then the meaning he was trying to convey becomes lost sadly. I accept it's more to do with me probably, as I just do English and I'm not even used to accents from around the UK, never mind from around the world. I'm old enough to probably be a bit set in my ways, and I don't seem able to change even if I would like to. Lord knows I've tried and failed with this one so far. It's pretty frustrating as situations go. Oh well, maybe it will be easier if there is a device in front of me, would hopefully make more sense then.

See my edit above. You really do need to have the V3 in your hands then all will become clear.

It's not arrived yet and I already feel like a silly old man for having not researched enough, and to have trusted the makers too much. I guess I deserve the loss of the money, and I already regret buying it.

Hey, you've bought one of the best if not THE best. Your research was good and you'll not regret your purchase

As was said once you have it and can get clicking the button I'm sure understanding will follow quite quickly. Once you get it fired up I very much doubt you'll regret it as it is one of the best made devices around.

You were not wrong guys! Thanks for the encouragement. It's taking time, but is so much easier when you have the device to hand and can see it making progress or not - well, sometimes does and sometimes not, but generally getting easier as it goes along! I have to say it's the only real issue I have with the thing, that and wishing the top cap was maybe one or two tenths of a millimetre or so taller, it's just a hair too thin to have a kayfun light plus on top and have it fully flush but also with the top cap screwed down fully to meet the tube, there's no more than the width of a bit of 0.20 kanthal gap one end or the other when I try. It is without doubt the best vape I have had from my kayfun, no more rattlesnake noises from the mod under it, just the flavour of the home made vape, presenting it in a totally clean and involving manner. What a knock out! Now to learn the menu so it can be second nature: I may be some time......
