I saw it.
I think it's a no-brainer legislating immediately to ban the sale to u18s. I can't believe the government have been getting their knickers in a twist about regulating e-cigs and left the massive barn door open.
Is it me... or is it always a real **** off which stores do they choose to film in?
V-revolution and Smoke-no-smoke. The two most expensive stores in the country. Smoke-no-smoke.... home of the £79.99 double basic eGo kit.
Even a Totally Wicked store would be better.

Plenty children as young as 12 smoke, unfortunately, and NHS can give them NRTs which we all know doesn't work you can marry at 16, drive at 17, join the army etc. I really don't know, I'm in two minds about this latest development

I thought it was a very positive sway towards vaping.
Apart from the usual drivel spouted from the BMA representative which lets be honest we have come to expect.
I also agree with the over 18 rule, cigarettes are 18+ and their substitute should reflect the same age limit.
There's no point giving a lower age limit to vaping to combat underage smoking, If they smoke underage they will probably vape too.
Handling toxic liquids need to have age restrictions.

Mrs DJS says let the youngsters get the "approved e-cigs" when they come out...even if they are a rip-off. (NHS?) I'm in more than two minds, but given all the "think of the children argument" they could have fixed that 18 months ago. Fix that and DELAY plans for a bit, see where things are going with e-cigs. If I was in charge, I'd probably have gone with 16. Same as tobacco used to be. Give the 16 and 17 year-olds a chance to vape instead. Given it's safer than smoking, better to allow some freedom to choose.

The thing is we have been advocating an 18+ stance and condemning local vendors that don't comply with self regulation. Now the government has taken action it's wrong ... I'm a little puzzled by our reaction to say the least.

I'm a little puzzled by our reaction to say the least. I know, it's tough. I've been behind the 18+ myself. I do however feel we need to leave the door open for all smokers though.

I myself cannot bring myself to watch any of them, crock after crock of people vaping cig-alikes in pubs like some pre-done advert (not that cig alikes ain't a good thing) but just bores me seeing the same old thing over and over again, people/reporters not doing any research into it and making it look bad bad or sometimes maybe looking a bit good.
Fact is that it saves lives but the big boys and governments don't give a shi* about that, money money money is all what matters.

I had already read the comments Karma and I'm sure we all know if underage smokers decide they want to move to a healthier option they will vape (regardless/especially) if it's been banned for under 18s.

They are doing the one thing that will make vaping more appealing to the under 18s: banning it for them.
So we will start seeing stories of "children" getting their hands evil eCigs.
