E cig ban for under 18s

The whole publicity thing is confusing some people. One person I had persuaded to give proper e-cigs a go today informed me that she wasn't going to bother as they are going to be banned. Didn't matter what I tried to tell her after that

The subject of that program came up in a camping forum that I am on, the same one that put me onto e-cigs in the first place.
Some of the comments about e-cigs from Joe Public would turn your hair white.

Whilst they were watching the same program that I watched, coupled with what they had already "learned"(???) about e-cigs, well Vapers are Smokers in disguise and we should all be banned outright before our vapour starts killing their children. Or words to that effect.
Oh and e-cigs are just a modern version of hypodermic syringes and nicotine is more addictive than injecting heroin.

These are the idiots that vote in the politicians that will eventually rule on what becomes of vaping.

Everything in this world is ludicrous ( you know the crap that busy body arseholes try to enforce).

We have underage drinking, smoking, drug taking, underage pregnancies, a fall in education standards, immigration issues ( my patents were immigrants so I'm not being racist), housing issues, welfare exploitation, power , energy , resource issues, etc etc etc.

And they pick on the ecig.

Same old crap, different decade, different topic to deviate from the real issues.

'Where there's a will there's a way,', kids will find a way round this ban if they have a mind to. What good has it done banning the sales of cigs to under 16yrs old? None, kids start smoking as soon as they start junior school these days and often their parents buy/give them cigs. Ludicrous law that they cannot police.

My first ciggies were Nelsons and Bristols and we could buy them in singles from the local shop. We were at Primary School then.
By the time we were at Secondary Scholl we were right gallus and were on to Capstan Full Strength!
Back then you could buy B&H in packets of 3 and Nelson and Bristol in packets of 5.

Don't forget the law will only ban the sale of ecigs to under 18s, it will still be perfectly legal for an adult to buy them for a minor.
It will be illegal to buy tobacco for a minor, a point the media seem to have overlooked this weekend.
And of course until the government defines what an ecig is legally it will be business as usual for the traders who don't care who they sell to.

But surely this is just as it should be.

If my son or daughter was an under aged smoker, I would be bending over backwards to get them onto e-cigs as soon as possible.

So, to me it is common sense to ban cigarettes to people under 18 but not e-cigs that adults buy for them.
