That security code thing is my problem. HSBC sent mine to the wrong address (six years out of date, but according to their logic, they didn’t send it to the address on the computer, but to the address I had when I opened the account – still trying to get my head around that.) They sent me another one with a letter apologising for the delay because of a shortage of disabled ones (no idea – I’m not, although some may disagree.) So I have a giant one, with huge screen and buttons, that talks to me in a rather loud voice, just in case I’m deaf. So it lives in a drawer. Paypal is easier.

Think few prefer PP as it has buyer protection....no matter how trusting everyone seems...way of the world, think thats why near every vendor uses it,plus its ease, besides £30 @4% the fee's are i think 12p,Thing is as well is your in Thailand coming here sell few bits and going again, you will note peoples anxiety,no matter how well some are known basic on forums your just a face and someone who posts 4% of £30 is £1.20 bud. Not directly to you, but PayPal friends and family doesn't offer anymore protection than direct transfer.. other than not passing out bank details(which would be useless to most people unless they have been tracking you for all your personal info I suppose, which is unlikely lol) thanks for the correction my bad

I frequent PC forums a lot and most have a section where we can buy and sell hardware, i often use use direct bank payments as i live 5 mins from a town centre that has most of the banks there. I find them quite easy to do and hassle free, i just pop in and pay the money direct into their account.

Often wondered in the old days why people were reluctant to give out their Name, Account Number and Sort code. Yet would quite happily write cheques out to people which contained exactly the same details
