Just wonder what is the best wick or wire to use? Its my first rba so Im new and unsure what and how to use

I found it best with a stainless steel rolled mesh wick to be honest flavourtank, and a kanthal ribbon coil. I tried 2mm wire rope with a mesh wrap and that worked well but the mesh would get destroyed by the heat of the coil. On balance the plain mesh built well and coiled properly wicked better and had more flavour for me

Personally .25 kanthal and make sure the wick is hollow like a straw. Keep the legs even and defo don't over tighten the wire on the wick.

Probably best to watch the video Hodor suggested, all will become murky! .25 wire is a good choice, I preferred .5 ribbon though as I found it was easier to wrap without hotspots, but it's horses for courses. Watch the vid and have a play, it's easier than it first appears but practice helps a lot, don't expect your first build to be great and it'll quickly get better
