Martin does suggest we write to [e-mail] and request that MEP be allowed to vote on the separate points or articles in the TPD . Please can we send as many requests as possible !  The consequences of just a Yes /No vote to the whole TPD ARE NOT good for us ,please send an e-mail

Simply to allow a single blanket vote by MEP to accept or refuse the TPD in its entirety would be a travesty , this is not a delaying tactic more one to see democracy in action



To summarise ,please let MEP vote on an article by article basis to demonstrate EU transparency on this highly contentious matter

It's truly beyond belief, maybe the 43:7 vote was not enough after all, one or two more votes against would have made the difference for the 10% required.

Before someone questions my maths it was clearly wanting 10% of the 76 member ENVI committee not 10% who turned up to vote!!!!

Whatever ..this is serious guys . Send an e-mail to Martin Schultz in droves .

Mr. Schulz, I am writing to implore you to open up the Tobacco Products Directive for split and separate votes.

The Trialogue on this proposed directive has over-ridden the over-whelming voice of the European Parliament on the legislation of electronic cigarettes, this article itself having no proper place in a directive supposedly legislating on tobacco products, which electronic cigarettes are manifestly not.

It would be a gross abuse of process were Parliamentarians forced into accepting the regulation of e-cigarettes, which they have already voted against, in order not to delay legislation on tobacco products.

Dear Sir
I ask you to support the ECR request to open this file. TPD] article 18
Please do all you can to help us turn this situation around.
I won’t waffle on but implore you to help us vaper’s and get more sensible regulations after all ecigs don’t contain tobacco!
I have given up smoking tobacco for two years and my own GP thinks ecigs are marvellous and saving many lives.

It is bad news but Martin Callanan gives us a solution .... thousands of responses would help from across Europe not just a handfull!

Just a thought - A thread(s) as serious as this, should be put in/stickied in the 'General e-cigs/vaping discussion' because, the majority of the time -I only visit 'General' when I log in. This may be the case for other AAEC members? Or even, have this part of the forum highlighted in a different colour, as to make it stand out.
