I built my first VV device using the TI 4050 series regulator. It is was basically just to see how small I could make one.  The wiring was a ****** so I doubt I'll make another this small. It runs on a single 14500 and has output (not under load) between 4.85 and 6.69 volts which is pretty good. There is only just enough space in the box for everything but it doesn't get hot in use. I could probably neaten up the wiring now I know what I'm doing to make it fit better but it took two tries to get it working. |
