Gherkins. I'm obsessed with gherkins. My partner hates them, but I could eat them with literally any meal. She thinks I have those unusual food cravings that happen during pregnancy, but I think it's unlikely, seeing as I'm male.

He couldn't stand Mussels which I love, but would cook them for me anyhow and is now beginning to like them anyhow! Other than that he likes most things and certainly does not have an aversion to anything else. I am the one with an aversion...to mushrooms! The look, the smell the taste it all turns my stomach. I would go as far as to say I am phobic to them. When he has them he always offers to eat in the other room, to which I always say , but I am uncomfortable and on edge until they are gone, just the thought of them makes me feel queasy! He is a better man than me though as I simply could NOT cook them for him!

Nothing more glorious than a big pile of them cooked in the bacon fat for breakfast. Please to read of another good guy who clearly loves his wife.

Mmmm, with bacon and lots of red wine in the gravy, done in the slow cooker... I'm lazy and buy some chilled ready made mash on my way home so I can have dinner on the table 20 mins after I get in. With the gorgeous smell coming from the slow cooker I'd never have the patience to peel, cook and mash the spuds before tucking in! Lol.

My eldest daughter and I love chilli con carne, preferably done in the slow cooker to let the flavours infuse. My youngest however hates it. Consequently we don't have it often, youngest has gone away for a while so it was the first thing on the menu after she left, we're having roast lamb tomorrow, another thing youngest doesn't like, and fresh fish tonight, yet another of her dislikes....I'm just starting to realise what a pain in the arse my youngest daughter is lol...

my husband is not keen on fish - and I love it - so he gets meat and I get fish and I love tongue - but as he can't even stand the smell I actually never make it

Do the mash potatoes one day , cover and put in fridge, garden peas simmer 10mins, cover & put in fridge. Next day Poach the smoked Cod/Haddock in milk for 15 mins, mash & peas plate up and micro wave until hot then add the fish and bobs your uncle, ready meal in 25 mins and no additives. Same thing with the liver , pan fry the onions 15 mins add the liver , cook for 10mins . Cover & put in fridge, for next day, have what you like with it. Simples!
