As I have been unwell this week my appetite has suffered. Mr Dolly has very kindly been making some of the dinners I really love but he hates the site of. I rarely get them unless I am ill. The other day I had lovely piece of poached haddock with hollandaise sauce with poached egg on top. Finished off with wilted spinach and potato. The poor bloke had to hold his nose making it as he reckons the smell makes him gag! Today, bless him, he is making me cauliflower cheese. He is fantastic at making it, but hates cauliflower. What foods or dinners do you love that you rarely get because your partner hates it? That sounds good to me dolly. Regarding what I love but rarely get because he hates it - nothing. He would cook me anything in the whole wide world at any day at any time, and with me it is usually in the early hours.

You often hear the whinging and moaning about spouses from both sides and it's so nice to read a good story. Those of us with good men are truly blessed.
