I spent my birthday money on a nemesis and a kayfun lite clone from fasttech, the kayfun lite clone is now renamed as a russian 91 clone.
I was so looking forward to this set up but the negative post is defective as every single screw just falls into the hole. The positive post is okay but without the negative post able to hold any screws then the whole product is caput.
I have been onto fasttech and waiting for a reply but does anyone have a solution.

Can you not wedge it in with anything? Bit rough but might keep you going

Update. Fasttech are sending me a new base and screws which is good of them but I reckon the sun will be here before they arrive. Not found anything yet to wedge in but will keep on searching

marlbororman. I know but I wanted something more secure than messing all the time when changing the coil but cheers anyway. The bigger screws idea is not so easy as I need to make the hole bigger and don't have the tools.

Same applies to a microcoil/cotton build - once you've got the coil on, you only need to change the cotton. The coil will last weeks - probably as long as it takes for your replacement to arrive, as long as you change the cotton regularly and give a quick dry burn.
Alternatively, if there's nothing you can do to fix it, you could put a wanted notice in the classifieds for a kayfun clone deck - just in case someone has a spare lying around.

I forgot this first time I did a coil using cotton wool, and after taking a age to get the amount of cotton wool just right

boyofford - join the club - I too learnt the hard way! At least a big bag of cotton wool balls from Superdrug cost me less than £2 and should last me into my dotage!!
