Just be grateful it isn't legislated as either a tobacco product or a medicine. Compared to the price of fags or NRT eliquid is mighty cheap

You should try vaping it instead of eating it. Much nicer.

VAT is only 5% on NRT. We don't want Ecigs to be NRT though....prefilled carts, max 20mg etc etc.

Reminds me of the Jaffa cakes debacle - if they are cakes then VAT would be payable, if they are biscuits then no VAT. thanks to that conundrum we now have a legal definition of cakes and biscuits. A cake will go hard when its stale - and a biscuit goes soft.

A cake will go hard when its stale - and a biscuit goes soft. Wrong way round I think. Biscuits don't have vat as are considered non luxery item but only if they have less than 5% or 10% covering of chocolate, I forget exactly how much. But cakes are non luxury so no VAT. Jaffa cakes where proved to be cakes and not biscuits in the end by how they go when left out over night.... Biscuits go soft, cakes go hard it was argued in court..... All very daft lol. Did a module on vat recently, it was daft story's like this that kept me going... Very dull subject.

I wonder who had the lousy job of testing the Jaffa cakes? Imagine drooling and just having to sit there over night waiting for them to go hard
