So today I done finished my variable voltage Monster Mod - The Monster Mod Vario. It is based round the TI4050 regulator and sports dual 18650 batteries in parallel, on/off switch, my copper button and a mini USB charger point. If I make one to sell I reckon there should be just enough room for an LED voltage display as well as long as I'm neat fitting the components in. This one has the high tech hand written voltage selector round the dial. I made this for myself but will hopefully be making more to sell. Loving it already since the 18650's seem to have a more meaty output than the 14500's my other models have used. Will definitely be my regular device, it has more hit than even the PT since the amps aren't as restricted. Now I just need to get around to buying IMR batteries for it to improve the hit even more !

A new update for the Monster Mod Vario, we now have V2.0 which sports a nifty LED voltage display.
Was only just enough room in the case for the display while retaining all the other components. It has a charge circuit as well as boost circuitry, the usual copper button, an on/off switch, 510 connection and a dial to control your voltage (clockwise turns it up). The range is about 4 to 6 V under load, but this will partly depend on the atty you connect.
The hardest build so far since it was quite fiddly getting all the parts in without them interfering with each other. Eagle eyed viewers may spot the display actually sticks 1.5 - 2.0mm out of the case and I built a surround for it. That is so I could retain both batteries in the device since the only other way I could have fitted everything in was to sacrifice one of the batteries. Now I need to fully test it before it goes off to it's new owner.
