anyone using the HC LR 901s got any advice please. ive still got a shed load of lr 901s from HC but im having a few problems with them. theres nothing actually wrong with them and they last really well. they do leak a touch after having to blow out, but thats ok, my problem is the wick seems very high and pushes the foam at least 5mm up into the cart. which them makes refilling a pain getting the balance right, a little too much liquid and the wick compresses the foam and squeezes the juice out causing flooding and then leakage, im using 1/2 by 2/3s of a precut foam now and leaving it 4mm down this has helped but i still seem to get a flood at least once a day. ive not had these sort of problems for a year or so. im also finding it better with a 2 vent-hole cart. ive also been tried trimming the cart down by 1 or 2mm. just wondered really if anyone else was having difficulty's getting the best use out of them. raggy.............

Have you considered using pump carts Raggy?
I've started these with all my 510 & 901 atties, much less faff than carts and dripping, great for when you're out too. Hold about 1.25 -1.5ml, cheap and you can get several uses from each one.
Slight downsides I would say are that they do add more length (not always a good thing ;-) )to the atty than carts and the pump action takes a bit of getting used to but once you've sussed it then you'll never go back to carts.

UK Eliquid & Ecigwizard are two vendors I know of who sell them, there may now be others too am not sure. In case you aren't aware both have discount codes you'll find in the discount codes section on the forum. Lol, I know what you mean. Just when you think you've figured out whats what then a whole load of new gear comes along. I guess the current craze is around the various types of cartomizers around with atties waning in popularity. So the pump carts don't appeal to many and have fallen under the radar a bit. But do give them a go since you do use 901's, i've got one on the go on a 901 and another on a debridged 510, both vaping great.

I don't use carts anymore Raggy, so I haven't had this problem, but I can see why you'd get it, as the bridge is quite a pointy thing on the HC 901's.
Did you not get on with dripping?

thanks i will have a look later. normally im a gadget head but ive been determined not to fall into this with vaping, so i havent read much of what i should as i would become obsessed with it. too be honest im getting a little bored and fed up with faffing about drip drip dripping with attys, but i wanted to keep things reliable and simple without it becoming a money pit hobby. its funny with this vaping that you seem to reach a plateau with things and i think im on that plateau now with attys, to be honest its not really the attys its the bloody carts and filler that do my head in even after 20mths. anyhow thanks for the link i might just give them a go. raggy....................

I've backed off with the goody buying as well Raggy . . . tbh, I've got what I want with vaping . . . so don't feel the need to try every single of the latest fandangoo's, nor can I afford it right now.
Atomiser's/dripping, Arry Tanks with whatever Innards and the Transparent DC's, I'm quite happy with.

Raggy, I direct drip onto my HC 901LRs so don't have probs with filler. I can relate to the drip faffing (now I've settled into 2 fave flavours) which is why I'm toying with www.cloud9vaping.co.uk/epages/yxve46fvrnud.sf/sec0c6f4ee1a4/?ObjectPath=/Shops/yxve46fvrnud/Products/SuperT-VM-S but baulking at the price. I also find that dripping is the best way to get the flavour from delicate juices which can be lost in some clearos and fings. I'm quite liking the smokymizer and will order some on Perpy's group order. They come in a variety of ohms.

Hi Raggy. Bout 3 drops I use and find that doesn't give me any flooding issues, a transaparent drip tip I always think is useful, so as you can see how much juice you're using. I don't mind the small degree of faff, but I can see that would be irksome . . . maybe give the Pump Carts a whirl as Scarface suggests. . . got to banish those ciggy thoughts.

Raggy I'll send you a smokymizer to try prior to the group order if you'd like. it's green and 2.8-3.1 on a 510 fitting. Mine's lush on the GGTB.

I've read mixed reports on the Vapemate Clutty, but then that's true of any vaping gear, I'd also imagine there's a knack with it . . . have you thought of Arry's V3 carto tank with the Boge cartomiser's . . . that does seem to be popular and not a fortune to buy.

I'd suggest the Dual Coils . . . but perhaps see how you get on with a Smokeymizer first . . . I've not tried those.

I nearly lost the will to live reading reviews on the vapemate on UKV Perpy. I've got a Arry tank but got the 'ump cos it leaked and deaded the LED in my (new then) Babymod. I like the idea of bunging the entire bottle of juice onto the Vapemate. Is hoping to find a cast-off in the classifieds and would appreciate any tip offs
