So I've been vaping for exactly 2 weeks now (sorry Steve but your banner, superlatively lovely and gorgeous as it is, can't count properly!) and today I have not smoked a single analogue and what's even better is I haven't had to rip anyone limb from limb to achieve it I realised that on Sun and Mon, my smoking was increasing for no other reason than I had the cigs available to smoke so I was just automatically reaching for them rather than the riva. So to solve the little hurdle I decided last night (after finishing the pack I had) that I would try going a day without buying any cigs - and I did it. It was a little tough this morning but I got through it with lots of coffee and chain-vaping. Fingers crossed I can continue like this - although for psychological reasons I am not yet ready to say I am quitting the cigs - that's bound to send me back to the shops and as the minimum you can buy these days is a pack of 10, I'd end up smoking them all. It would be easier if Ferretti's (cafe/coffe bar from my youth) was still open and you could go and buy a single cig and match for a few pence

You've done so very well Tizer . . . I hope you feel proud of yourself as you certainly should be. Never say never again, about anything - I find works for me . . . if I think I could have a chocolate/ drink/ ciggie if I really wanted to . . . it somehow takes away the forbidden fruit element.

I just checked with the calendar and it will show 14 days once today is fully over.

Thank you all.
Yes, I am feeling a little bit proud (smug) but I need to watch I don't get hoisted by my own petard and come crashing down tomorrow and succumb to temptation.
I think may not be a newbie anymore.

Keep up the good work Nicky, I thought that's how I'd be - panic ridden all day but surprisingly I wasn't - but I do know that should the need arise (although I'm determined it won't) I can always go to the 24hour garage to get some. It was for me just too easy to have just one more cig so I was creeping up from 4 a day to 6 or 8 - totally the opposite of my master-plan so it was either quit vaping or commit to vaping. Think I made the right choice.

No analogues at all, I'm impressed.
Go Tizer!

Good for you tizer. It's not so bad, not smoking. I hardly think about ciggies now.

Well it's a week since I last posted and I was hoisted by my own petard!! Managed to go 5 days in total without an analogue but Sunday morning I relapsed and had a cig. Then 2 yesterday and 1 today until I got mad at myself and tore the analogs up and binned them. Despite that, it is still 766 cigs not smoked in 3 weeks I'm using an echomiser at the mo and it started off going great but I just seem to spend all my time topping the damn thing up as the flavour seems to go really quickly so I might go back to the carts. Dunno yet still a bit undecided and will persevere for a bit.

That's no biggie Tizer . . . I'm a firm believer in that if you fancy something, have it . . . whatever the 'it' may be. Somehow, for me anyway, it removes the forbidden fruit element. There's so much choice available now on the atomiser/clearo/carto front, I find it gets harder to recommend something to try. Ultimately, it pays to experiment until you find a combo that suits your style of vaping.
