Hi so I'm about to do an order on Fasttech. I have few question first if you'll help me out. 1st question is that I've read on here I should do orders no higher than 30pound? Is this true? And why? Should I do separate orders if I want to order few things? And 2nd question is are the batteries they sell any good or cheap knock offs? And o should order from the UK for batteries? Thanks in advance EU regulation: up to 21,99€ = tax free gift from person to person up to 45€ = tax free No customs, but VAT from 22€ to 149,99€. 150€ and more customs and VAT. Over 1000€ special procedures with speditior involved.

Anything over £15 you pay VAT on and import tax, plus you have to pay the post office sometimes as much as £20 on top for admin, there's a few ways they can get around it, 1 by going via Germany, 2 by under declaring the price of the goods, 3 my saying its a sample, (if a sample your meant to send it back again to them) there's no concessions on gifts any more or personal items (I dont think)

My last order was just over $104 and on the package Fasttech had put a figure of $12.51 and ticked the gift box. It also said it was "Replacement Parts, Electronic Parts"
Didn't get charged any customs fees and it's more dodgy over here than the UK with regards to customs charges.

Well I've taken the plunge and ordered some of these from Fasttech: www.fasttech.com/p/1345500According to the reviews, they're Provari friendly ( mine are well out of warranty anyhow ) . . . the run time is great in comparison to AW's and it seemed a good price for 2. A few other bits and bobs also jumped into my cart at the same time, quite by magic.

They are in fact Panasonic flat top batteries that have had a button top soldered on and the whole battery re-wrapped in clear plastic giving an overall diameter of 18.5 mm. I know for a fact that they then won't fit an evic but can't comment on the Provari. Hopefully they will fit without problem but if they don't, you can carefully peel off the outer clear plastic (not the green!) and then twist off the soldered button (that is if the Provari can accept flat top batteries ofc).

I can never keep up with the china threads and batteries. Does that mean batteries are getting through ?

Speaking only about Fasttech here - Cylindrical batteries contained within a device are OK with all shipping options but only via Malaysia Post if loose. I haven't bought any batteries from Fasttech in a long time so I can't comment on whether they will get through UK customs even with the Malaysia Post option.

Thank you for the info Bill. Flat tops won't work with Provari's . . . but I daresay I might having something else they will fit.
