Now I am confused! I this morning in the vape mail received a bottom coil, aspire ce5. Confusing as it was not the one i expected it seems there are several types of aspire bdc's! After the initial phaffing around with filling (and a handful of juice!) my INITIAL thoughts is....this is actually very good at which i am surprised. Although a little taller than the iclear16's, it seems to be producing a vape which is quite similar on my mediocre setup. I am surprised that i am getting so much flavour on par with what i had hoped for the mpt2 and the evod but didn't get! It is almost making me think of getting a glass version! Question...does anyone have experience of these thingys and do they continue to be simple like my iclear16's or do they give trouble? I mean so far so good but I am seeing visions of upgrading to a glass one! Does anyone know if the heads are standard as well. Sorry for all the questions, but with so many models i am baffled. See what this place does to you?! I found something that works (iclear16) and am looking for better! MrsM

I don't think they do an iclear16 in glass but I love my protank minis which are glass and so easy to fill clean or replace coil ( which isn't very often ) don't know about the aspires I only have protank mini's

I use the Aspire BDC vivi nova style glassomiser Mrsmac and have been for a couple of months now. I love it, occasional gurgle, but normally when my battery's just about to hit the too low zone, a quick blow into a piece of tissue and a fresh battery in my mod and I'm back in custard heaven

I agree to babs - love my protanks - have protank 2s and minis - love both - they are glass - which is also better for some liquids

I use a vape only ET-S duel bottom coil, and I think it is fabulous! I think it's similar (the same?) as the aspire one? Only downside is I don't think you can dry burn the heads?

All of the Aspire BDC series give a pretty similar vape as they all use the same heads and cosmetic and tank material differences aside its the head gives the flavour.
I use them exclusively with Davide BDC tanks and an adaptor for a Protank II and they are leagues ahead of the single coil protank/evod heads I used to use with various bottom coil tanks.
However they do not last like single coil heads - I get 2 weeks max out of a head (and that's with having two different tanks being used over the course of the day) - you can't clean or dry burn them as they are a bit like mini cartomisers - if they dry out the lining burns and that's the end of that head - I loathe top coil stuff and have no great love for iclear16s or 30s but they are a lot hardier (16 heads go on forever apparently - mine admittedly gets used rarely but its still the original head and its over 6 months old! - I go through at least a box of five if not more Aspire heads a month and they are more expensive than protank or iclear coils).
The Aspires come in 3 main varieties with the Aspire branding - the CE5 ones that look like CE4/5s/iclear16s and are made of plastic, a ego sized glass version which is basically the same but useable with tank crackers and vivi nova types that basically look like novas and are bigger tanks and look better on a mod (but a bit silly on an ego battery - yes even with a beauty ring).
The Davide which is my favourite looking larger glass protank clone can also be bought with the modifications to use Aspire heads (these are my weapons of choice) but you can buy an adaptor now which will let the heads be used with any Protank style device (I find the Protank II gives a tighter draw than a Davide - I prefer the looser one myself).

Wow thank you for all the replies. Well I have done a day with the aspire bdc ce5 and so far so good i must say. I have been up most of the night researching into some of the problems i could come in to with them and the longetivity of the coil (once burnt will be no good) and some juice left over because of the positioning of the holes seems to be the main ones oh...and the cost.
Indeed the iclear16's are definately cheaper to purchase and run which is something which i will need to take into consideration.
I have also noticed that as i am near the end of the tank, first run, that the flavour has dropped off a little bit. I am still impressed though and i think that I am having better results with this than the mpt2 and evod as it is dual coil but will also go back to those two for a comparison.
Going to really give this some thought today before ordering (probably the et or ets) as i still like the iclear16's which i have been using for about 2 weeks on practically the same head.
Thanks all again MrsM

iclear 16's are a love or hate thing and really neither is right or wrong. They have a warmer, tighter draw. Protanks have an airy and cooler draw. It's all down to personal preference. I've got 10 iclears and 4 mini protanks! I used to like vaping 5 or 6 flavours in a day (sometimes more), swapping and changing all the time. I've since 'settled down' with 2 or 3 flavours on the go and tend to use the mini protanks more than the iclears because I can recoil the protanks. If you do buy protanks of any sort - save the used coil heads! Eventually you might get into coiling too, saving you even more money. That said, iclear coils do last AGES so not exactly expensive in the grand scheme of things. See? Not really a right or wrong.

Ive added a picture of alot of the ASPIRE Clearomizers with the names, hope that helps I'm really liking the look of the ET-S. Could anyone tell me please is it the same size as a protank mini? Or bigger? Also how does it compare to the evod, or protank mini? What are the differences?

From my understanding, it is similar in size to the mpt although if you look at some vendors sites it states that it it 75mm high as an idea. In addition if you are getting along with the evod and ptm then you may like the aspire. What i would say is Google reviews and discussions as it seems the heads may be inconsistent. I am currently testing the ce5 version on an evod batt since yesterday so it is really early for me to make a judgement also bare in mind the price of running it may be higher than you are used to but personally i am getting better flavour so far. The biggest difference is that it is dual coil meaning more flavour and vapour which also means slightly less battery life and a slight increase in juice usage

I have the Aspire ETS, it was fine at first, no gurgling or leaking, now I get both, could be the different juices I use but they are mainly fruity and light apart from the Monkey Jizz which is a little thicker , but still leaks with that in it. Everytime I buy a new Clearomiser I think, that is the one I want because the reviews have said no leaking or gurgling. GRRRRRRR
Plus the heads don't last long and are expensive.

It's not difficult in my humble opinion Mrsmac. Get yourself a davide king and be done with it. Micro coil your heads and be one happy bunny (no blow torch needed. See my thread) and then keep a few aspire heads handy.... Once you find what you are happy with stick with it. No point in faffing over nothing. I have had the same microcoil on my davide for 5-6 days. tis a record for me. I don't believe all these claims of 'heads last 6 months' - not the way I vape do they!!! Making the micro coil last friday has saved my brain and like £15 on a davide king It's all you need. If you have bad shinyitis get a few nice drip tips from fast tech....won't break the bank

The et-s are glass pyrex, the et is just the regular plastic, evods have the moulded drip tip where these both have the metal drip tips, the et-s and et are bottom dual coil , where evods are single coil, hopw that helps, ive added a picture, the mini protanks are the same size as the et-s / et clearomizers
