www.turtlemat.co.uk/I've noticed that many of us have pets, so I was wondering if anyone has a turtle mat and are they really worth the extra money? I do have some mats that are supposed to suck the dirt from your feet but they're pretty useless and are really difficult to hoover, the animal hair just sticks fast to them so they always look horrid. Any other suggestions for keeping the floors clean?

Used to have one and it was great for sensible adults who would stand still for a moment before walking on the rest of the floor. I don't know about your dog but mine tend to rush in from the outside as if they had a flea up their a--e. (gosh, we're being let into the house; quick before she changes her mind) They are house dogs btw. You'd need to buy the runner I think for it to be effective. In my experience the best way to keep the floor clean is to sell the dogs. What's a little dirt between friends...

TBH it doesn't normally bother me but we're thinking about moving to a cleaner abode so was looking at easy options to keep it that way

I bought something similar locally Karma but didn't pay anything like that much, I was a bit dubious as it's a very lightweight mat (can go in the washing machine no problem) but it's amazing. I've had mine a few years and it's as good as new and saves a lot of muddy pawprints. Mine was certainly less than a tenner though from a local carpet supply place.

That's interesting Sal as the cheap ones I have are hopeless. I have no idea where they came from, just seem to have acquired them over the years ???

I've just had a look and there is no label on mine I got chatting to the lady in the shop and I'm fairly sure she said they were as good as turtle mats, might be worth having a look locally? It was a little independent shop, not a big chain.

Karma we recently bought are dog one of these: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0038QV2WS/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1And he loves it, every night he gathers his little rag dolls (little rat and a baby cosy thingy) puts them to bed with him every night, first thing he done with the cushion was sniff it for about 5mins and slob it with his saliva and snotty nose and he was in bed in minutes and has never looked back.

No need for turtle mats this end as I don't own a dog. However after a good curry and a good nights sleep, I usually wake up with a turtle head. Bet if your all honest you've been there and done it.
apologies in advance if I have offended anyone.
Back soon.......off for a dump....

I don't think it will meet your needs Karma as far as dog hairs go, nothing beats a Dyson for that.
