The ones without alcohol are the ones to use mysty. Where are you planning to get your flavourings from? There are many trusted vendors that sell flavourings... The vendor that has the biggest range of brands and flavours is Chefs vapour and I'm pretty sure there is a dissy code in the mixology section of the forum

Alcohol is fine (though recovering alcoholics prefer to avoid it). If you use VG in your mix and buy it from Boots (cheapest) then it is too thick to use easily and a good way to thin it is with vodka. You can also use de-ionised water, but you'll need more of it, and there will be a little less throat hit.
The thing to avoid is oil-based flavourings - which no ecig company should sell, but food flavouring companies and supermarkets do of course.
