Hi pollypallette and to AAE-C. The riva 1100 is a great battery with a decent charge life. If you want something with an even longer charge life and the advantage of variable voltage and variable wattage then you can't go wrong with an Innokin MVP. You don't need separate batteries or charger for it as the battery is built in. Good value HERE with a great clearo included.

I love my MVP and it is incredibly good value for what you get.

Hi Jess Thanks for the welcome and the "well done" I really feel so proud of myself. I smoked 30-40 a day and I've already saved over £300. I do deserve a shiny new MOD, Don't you think? lol Yes, I do, pollypallette & I can tell you now, that you will have your shiny new mod, as the folk on here are brilliant at shopping, especially for others. I won't give you advice on that though, as I use nothing more than a Vision Spinner & Protank, but it is great for what I want. BTW, if you want to tag someone, either press alt & the person's moniker or click on the 'insert user name' button (one with person & @), third across from the 'insert smiley' button & type in the first few letters.

Hi BrenD Thanks for the welcome. I had a look at the link that yinyang suggested and I have made a note of the MVP as a possibility as well as one that smarties suggested. I must say the MVP does look a lot sturdier. Is it heavy?

Hi zeldamum and DiscoDes Thanks for the welcome. Looks like you both opted for the Evod so I think I will try a couple of these. DiscoDes you also linked to an iclear, could you tell me what the difference between the two are please. Thanks pollypalletteOK, there are 3 main differences. The Iclears are what's known as Top Coil Clearomisers, the heating coil(s) are at the top of the tank which gives a warmer vape. In the Evod the coils are at the bottom. The Iclears have long wicks to get the juice to the coild and you have to "swoosh" the tank around when the liquid level gets low to keep the wicks fed. As the coil is at the bottom in a Evod you don't need to "swoosh". The Iclears actually have 2 heating coils in them piggy backed in the head, this means that vapour production can be better on some batteries, but they use more power. As the Riva is a "fixed" output device in my opinion it does not make that much difference as the Riva cannot provide enough power to fully get the best out of an Iclear. Evod's are single coil. Iclears will get through juice a bit quicker as well. IMO the Evod is perfect for a Riva battery. OK that's 4 main differences : I never could count!

Hi pollypallette and welcome to AAEC. Sounds like you have got off to a good start There are a huge range of mods to choose from and everyone has their favourites, so the best bet is to look at lots of reviews and see what appeals. You will find an excellent set of useful reviews here: www.e-cig-reviews.com/The first thing to decide is whether you want a purely mechanical mod (you put in a battery and it just switches it on or off) or one with built in electronics that allows you to vary the voltage/ power of your vape. As you will see, there are plenty to choose from and a wide range of prices!

*welcome*Greetings pollypallette Another difference btween an iclear16 an an evod is that the coils in the evod do not last very long if you vape anything sweeter than menthol or cigarette type tobacco flavours whereas the iclear16 coils seem to go on for weeks. However my choice of clearomiser would be neither the evod or the iclear but rather the Aspire BDC As far as mods go its a toss up between the itaste vv3 and the mvp2 - both do exactly the same thing and come in a range of different colours but the vv3 is smaller, more discreet and more portable whereas the mvp2 is larger, slightly heavier but the battery life goes on for days

Hello and welcome pollypallette My sister has just started to vape and she is liking the iTaste VV V3.0For longer battery life and if you don't mind the shape, the MVP is also a great device.
