Hi @condimentking Thanks for the welcome and the information on the iclear and the Evod. What's different about the Aspire BDC and would it fit the Riva that I'm using at the moment? Sorry if that sounds stupid but I just don't know. Several others have mentioned the MVP it seems to be very popular with people so far. I must check it out on the review site that Dave linked to. Thanks so much for your help it's much appreciated. The aspire coils last quite a bit longer than evod coils and gives a cooler vape than an iclear16 - having said that the iclear is so cheap you may as well get one of those anyway! The Iclear16, aspire bdc and ce4/5/6/8 are all a similar shape and size and will fit flush onto a riva battery - aspires also come in larger sizes but these would look rather odd on top of the riva. The riva comes with both ego and 510 threading so virtually everything will fit on it.

Hi BrenD Thanks for the welcome. I had a look at the link that yinyang suggested and I have made a note of the MVP as a possibility as well as one that smarties suggested. I must say the MVP does look a lot sturdier. Is it heavy? It feels really well built, but I have no desire to find out just how good the build quality is! I'm more paranoid about dropping it than I have been any other gadget I've owned and it is quite cheap by the standards of a phone/iPod/tablet As for weight, I don't find it especially heavy. It feels just right, if that makes any sense?

Hi @condimentking thanks for the info on the Aspire. I looked at the iclear and evod on myepack and now that I know the difference between them I'm going to try both out to compare them, like you say they are cheap and I don't want to spend money on expensive ones till I've decided on a decent MOD. Thanks for your help.

Sorry if that sounds stupid but I just don't know. Several others have mentioned the MVP it seems to be very popular with people so far. I must check it out on the review site that Dave linked to. Thanks so much for your help it's much appreciated. The Aspires are a range of different clearomisers (that's the name for the bit on the top where the juice goes) that come in different shapes and sizes. They all use the same coil heads which are the replaceable bit - when they start tasting a bit off you swap the coil head out for a new one. On a Riva I'd recommend one like this that probably looks the same as the CE4 clearomisers you have now www.safercigs.co.uk/Aspire_CE5_BDC/p705283_11504748.aspxOr if you are feeling a bit more flush and would like a glass tank this one www.safercigs.co.uk/Aspire_BDC_Glassomizer/p705283_11019874.aspxPersonally I pretty much use these exclusively (in a larger tank on an eVic or my Vamo) and they give the best flavour and vapour you can get in a premade device - miles better than an evod - I'm not a fan of the top coils like an iclear16 so I'll steer clear of commenting on them. However they are duel coil rather than single coil so they would benefit from a device where you can up the voltage (something like an Itaste 3.0, spinner, twist or a electric mod like a Vamo or MVP) - your mileage may vary from a fixed output device like a Riva. Hi kailey Thanks for the welcome. Several people have mentioned the MVP but I'm still not sure. Is that the one you use? The MVP is reliable, built to last, does variable voltage and wattage and has a battery that goes on forever. However its an odd shape (basically its kind of the size and dimentions of a 10 pack of fags but a bit wider), quite heavy and has a very stiff button which I couldn't get on with. It also looks like a walkie talkie once you pop a clearomiser on it. Lots of people here adore them but it never won my heart and I prefer a tube shaped mod (they kind of look like mini light sabers - think your Riva but about twice as wide). Its an aquired taste but you'll never know unless you try. If you want something more subtle like your Riva but would like to try variable voltage/wattage - which is basically like volume control for your vaping - I'd recommend an itaste 3.0/mini - same size as a Riva but does all the bells and whistles of a bigger device in a much smaller package.

Hi dreamylittledream Thank you so much for all the information you've just given me. I really like the look of that glassomizer thanks for the link. Thanks also for the info on the MVP, lots of people have mentioned it and I've put it on my list of MOD's to read up on but I wasn't sure about the shape either. You mention the vamo and someone else mentioned it earlier and when I had a look at it I thought it looked nice how does it compare with the MVP is it lighter? I like the idea that the battery lasts a while in the MVP and it looks solid enough it's just the shape that's putting me off it a bit. On the other hand if it has better quality than the vamo then I might be able to get used to the shape. To be honest I just want a decent MOD that will last me a while and that I can put a bigger tank on. I would really appreciate your thoughts on it. Thanks.

Hi Jay sorry its taken so long to get back to you. Thanks for the welcome. I know I mentioned how much I'd saved by stopping smoking but to be honest stopping wheezing when I started vaping is priceless

Well I sold my MVP but I still use my Vamo every day so that probably says something. The Vamo (and most electric mods like it) use replaceable batteries which makes it a different kettle of fish from something like the MVP where the battery is fixed in the device. Battery life wise however nothing I have ever used beats the MVP - the bloody thing went on forever- I'm a medium vaper - I probably get through about 3mls or so a day of liquid and an MVP would literally last 3 days or so between charges. The Vamo takes two sizes of battery and the weight varies with which one you choose - in the smaller 18350 mode its about the same height as a Riva but thicker, weight wise its a lot less than an MVP. In the larger 18650 mode its tall, too tall to comfortably carry around in a jeans pocket say and it weighs more - maybe similar to an MVP - can't be sure as its been a while but the MVP certainly isn't light. Quality wise - well its a bit pot luck on that front - my Vamo is 7 months old - been dropped a few times and aside from the odd scratch is still working fine. Allegedly its the threads where you screw the clearomiser on that wear out but mine touch wood are fine to date. The MVP probably feels more solid but like any electronic device things can go wrong. Also when the battery wears out on an MVP its new device time unless you are very adept on a soldering iron - with a tube mod when the batteries go you can just buy new batteries. Ultimately its personal preference- I just couldn't get used to vaping from a box shape and I hated the button on the MVP which is why it wasn't for me but it does do a lot of things very well and it is very reasonable from myepack at the moment.

Hi djs Sorry its taken so long to get back to you. Thanks for the welcome. I'm sure what I've saved so far will dwindle away shortly. Everybody's got nice shiny things and I don't . Take me to the shiny shop

Hi dreamylittledream thanks so much for your speedy reply you have been really helpful. From what I've gathered so far most people have more than one MOD so I guess it's really deciding which one I'm going to get first
