Hi All We started 9 days ago with Evod starter kits with 2.5ohm coils. I've added a Kanger Aerotank with dual 2.0ohm coils and Angie has switched to Kanger T3S Clearomisers with 1.8ohm coils. Since the additions we are both getting mucho vapour :Dbut are having to change batteries too often . I'm assuming this is because we are using more power for the Aerotank's dual coil and the T3S's higher resistance. So does anything other than a Provari give a constant voltage?

I think that ANY battery will deplete quickly if you use more Voltage. The MOD can only deliver the power contained in the battery, so constant Voltage would depend on how strong your Batteries are before they drop power

So does anything other than a Provari give a constant voltage? Sure, most VV/VW mods will deliver constant(ish) voltage. Accuracy is another thing. For example (using eGo-types). My Spinner set to 3.9v with my clearo (which I know is, say 1.9) is not quite as powerful as my iTasteVV set at 8 watts.

Any vv mod will regulate the power for the duration of the charge. That's what they're designed to do

Agreed. I love my SID. I was somewhat dismayed to read somebody complaining about their SID on another forum. They were using a certain type of 18650 that is basically too short, so the SID re-boots (smok logo etc.) They'd sent one back to fasttech and were moaning about the UKecigcabin one. Made me pretty cross. My £38 (?) SID has lasted longer and performed more reliably than my £80 Evic.

It so true about a bad workman blaming his tools on many occasions djs . . . the device gets the blame, when it's down to user error.

Thank you keepitgoin Perpetua @djs @oneday Slowly getting there. I misunderstood the way the mods work. I thought you set the v or w and the power would slowly decline but the display would still show the set voltage/wattage. So do they show the actual voltage/wattage as the power available goes down?

This is what happens with a mechanical mod. The whole idea of vv/vw is you set and forget - until the battery if flat.

I can't find if the batteries should be protected or not. I know that's important as my son ordered a VTR from myepack this afternoon and I was able to tell him he had ordered the wrong batteries. Is there a smug smiley? Luckily he was able to phone them and change the order. Only doubt is build quality having read of switch & display problems. I'd rather spend more money to have something reliable that will last.

I've always used Efests or AW's smifee in anything . . . though I've just recently bought these Panasonic's and been pleased: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/360832335747?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AITThough there's a slight gap on the bottom cap to body, due to their length, which doesn't bother me.

Oops hit the wrong button so sent post before I had finished it.
Thanks to you all for your help. I prefer the round mods to the box type.
All I have to decide is which one.

I agree the SID is a Fabulous MOD. They have circuitry which regulates the output to hold to whatever you set it to as the battery discharges so giving a constant experience. I would second what Perpetua says about those batteries they are AWESOME I have 2 but they are a little longer and fatter than most 18650's and will not fit in some mods, they will however fit a SID and a Vamo.

Thanks Perpetua & @discodeshats just the info I needed. I've spent the last 30 minutes searching battery info. It's the over 3000mAh batteries I want. Just got to decide what to put them in. Leaning towards SID at the moment. I used to be indecisive but now I'm not sure.
