Hi All I will shortly be taking baby steps into the wild and wonderful world of DIY juices Nowt fancy to begin with - just making stuff up from concentrates - but exciting for me nevertheless! TBH I prob wouldn't have thought of doing this so early in my vaping journey, but the upcoming new legislation has put the wind up me! Don't know the details but I just don't trust 'em not to go mad and go further than EU stipulations. I'm preparing for the worst (that prob won't happen) and aiming to be as self-sufficient (relatively) for as long as possible... there's also the Zombie Apocalypse to worry about Anyway - back to the original point! I have read that PG base nic can be stored almost indefinitely if put in dark glass bottles and popped in the freezer. Hope that's true? What about the rest of the "Mix"? How would you store PG and VG long term? - same as PG base nic? Freezer? Glass or plastic bottles? Come to think about it - what about long term storage of concentrates - and "ready made" . Bottom line is I don't know how far I can go before I risk wasting stuff. What has been your experience and how far ahead are you planning for your seige cupboard? Cheers

I have no nicotine stored but if you want to freeze it then glass bottles are the best. I keep my pg, vg and nicotine in the fridge and then i just have a massive bowl full of my concentrates in the living room.

There's no point freezing PG, VG & flavours, they will always be readilly available. The EU won't ban what is basically baking supplies, and zombies don't like flavours

do we need to keep the pg vg and nic base in the fridge ? -even for short term ? PG and Glycerine is fine in a cool place and will not deteriorate long term if in a glass bottle. They are stable chemicals so in glass bottles are fine. Flavour concentrates though, and Nic base which is not frozen, should be stored in a cool dark place. Fridge seems a good a place as any but some flavour concentrates can be affected below 5 C deg..

Thanks folks - will just freeze the nic then. Roscopecotrain - you made me laugh out loud - I immediately conjured up an image of a huge punch bowl in your front room that you just emptied your new conc bottles into Meanwhile will soak myself in Joose Juice Raspberry to keep me safe froms zombies....

Hi again - minor thread resurrection! Was going to order some Caramel Blend from Joose Juice but they are out of stock so was going to get some concentrate instead. As with all shopping, things mounted up - you know the story - must order more to make postage cost efficient... oooh yes can use discount code for concentrates so should order more etc... Before I press the buy button on a possibly daft shopping basket I was wondering how long concentrates can be stored in the fridge? Taking Brambles warning on board about certain flavour concentrates being affected below 5C I reckon I'll avoid the freezer! I still haven't actually mixed anything yet .... got sidetracked by sorting out first rba and coiling etc (that was good - another step taken ) If you can't store concs for long, then fair enough - I'll hold off buying more until I know I'll actually knuckle down and do it! Just didn't want to waste good flavours by buying in a flurry of enthusiasm then losing them due to extreme procrastination Thanks

dhansak My Flavourart concentrates all seem to have a best before date about 15 to 18 months after being manufactured and about 12 months from when I received them. They were all bottled to order direct from Italy and they appear to put 12 months on the bottles. I reckon in fridge this will extend them. The problem buying from some vendors is you do not know how fresh their stock is.

I'm using concentrates that have been in my fridge for over 2 years and they're perfectly fine dhansak . . . if you'd like to be even more assured, rebottle them into glass bottles if you're planning on keeping them for longer than that.

Thanks Brambles & Perpetua - that's reassuring Will order a few, safe in the knowledge that when I finally pull my finger out the concs will be ok!
