Hi all, I have recently purchased a Socialites Tank system. Have been using it for about a week with great success, I just went straight from tobacco to this without any trouble. Cigarette free for 5 days now. However, I ran into a little trouble when refilling. The system uses a standard fitting CE4 Clearomiser which says it has a maximum fill of 1.6ml. The first fill filled it almost full and had no trouble. This time I took it right to the fill line which meant the wicks were entirely immersed in juice. I gave the coil a minute to soak it up before hitting it and was met with a gargling sound. There was also a leak of fluid at the base and around the battery connection. Instinct tells me the fill lines aren't exact and it was too full. I've cleaned it and working fine now but just looking for any advice about maintainence and how to avoid this happening in the future. Cheers, mikeyvape.

Sounds like you've got it fairly sussed, to full or not full enough can both cause some small issues in various heads, I usually aim for around 3/4 full in any of them now.

Hi mickeyvape sounds like you overfilled most tanks are filled about 3/4 full as you need air to create the vacuum needed. CE4's are not the best tanks at the best of times and looking on the socialites site they are very expensive. When you are ready we can help with better tanks. Well done on avoiding the stinkies for 6 days and welcome to aaec.

Hi Mikey@Vaporized and to AAEC, sorry I've never had that type of tank but it seems like you have had some good advice above

Thanks for the replies folks, will have a look at other clearomisers posted above as the socialites ones are very expensive. Just using them for the time being as I got two in the kit. They should last a good while as a tank lasted me about 4-5 days, so hopefully not have to look at other tanks for month or so

Also, instead of of replacing, can you just clean the clearomiser? If so, how many times can you clean before it will inevitably need replaced?

Hi Mikey@Vaporized and You can clean the ce4s but not very easily as they don't come apart properly. The coils in them only last between 1 week and 3 weeks (depending on how much you vape and the juice you use) The iclear 16s linked above have replaceable coils (also available from myepack) and can last for weeks and weeks (sometimes even months). In the long run, they are much better value, they are dual coil and as a result they do guzzle juice much quicker than the CE4s that you currently have but the quality of vape is far superior.

Had a look and these look pretty decent... It says the atomiser is replaceable, by this does it mean the wicks and coils?

As lairey says, But please do be aware as they are Dual coil they can be a touch on the thirsty side. It maybe a good idea to have a look at some of the other clearo's whilst you on the site. There are quite a few of us who use BCC and get quite a satisfactory vape, without the extensive juice usage. It's all down to personal preference.

Gosh. Anything to escape those "monsters" at Socialites.
The iClear16 is good - not perfect but a nice enough vape and good value as the wick/coil only needs changing infrequently.

Mikey@VaporizedMy first clearos were CE4 as well, but it would also advise getting some iclear16. Much better flavour and replaceable heads.
