I just replaced the wick with ones purchased at the same time.left it to stand for only 5 mins. I didn't have any trouble when I used the compleat I clear 16 for the first time.

When I change the coil head/wick in the iClear I turn the voltage down on whatever I'm using. what battery are you using gill50 ? Also, you could have washed the old head, an overnight soak in a steradent solution and left to dry would get you another few weeks from it

The other thing i'm thinking is that the new head is a lower resistance than your original one which could account for the burnt taste.

I don't think changing the wick would have made the liquid darker , did you get the spare wick from the same place you got your iclear ?

Sorry I'm using an ego 510 I think that's what it is. Is there anything I can do or have I messed up big time. No you've not messed up. Wash the old one out and let it dry. Do you have any more clearos or heads? Just that if it is a lower resistance and the juice tastes burnt to you then there's not much can be done with the set up you have. You would need a higher resistance replacement head It would be worth investing in a cheap Variable Voltage battery. that was you can turn the volts right down when you fit a new head and turn up slowly until you get a vape that suits you If you look closely at the heads the resistance is on them. I'm suspecting the one you're using now is 1.5 or 1.8 and that the original one was 2 or higher.
