I have just checked the coil and it def says 2.1 on the wick. What do I was the old one out with or in please and have I ruined the wick that is tasting burnt. I'm really sorry

I don't think you will have ruined the wick probably just overheated the juice. If you have another head pop that into the clearo and let it steep in fresh juice for 10 minutes and only press the button for a short period of time for the first few draws.

Steep the used heads in steradent solution or bicarb of soda overnight and leave to dry, they should be fine after this

Or, the old one was a bit duff and this one is working fine? either way that's where VV or VW come in to play, as you can alter the power to suit the coil.

Thank you so much for all of you help so I need to change the liquid and the coil head and use another variable battery that I have got after leaving for about 10 min have I got that right please

Yep, and turn the volts right down on the battery and increase very slowly.  As soon as you get the first hint of a burnt taste go back down a notch
