Hello to you all,
I'm a newbie here and to vaping and I am currently 4 days into not smoking, and really enjoying my new found nicotine fix.
I have bought a "socialites" tank which has a clearomiser, only problem is it seems to have given up after 4 days use and now giving a burnt taste.
Does anyone know if there is any way these can be cleaned or are they really a throw away job at £5 a time.
Help please

YES, first stop buying from Socialites! Those Clearomisers are known as CE4 's and are old hat now, they are cheap to buy from other vendors (about £2 to £3 each) but in one way you're lucky that the Vgo battery is just a bog standard Ego battery (around £5 to £7 each) and as such has a standard connector. I would advise you to get some of THESE they have replaceable coil heads at about £1.50 each and will last between 1 - 2 weeks then you just replace the coil not the whole thing. They will fit on your battery and will perform much better and are cheap to run. I hope this helps to AAEC and just keep asking questions.

Those evod tanks do seem to work really well, my wife has the evod kit and it's always faultless. I on the other hand am for ever stripping and rebuilding my fancier gear lol.
I quite like the Aspire CE6 type too

richie63If you have a look on the sicialites website they call their clearos "disposable" link. This will work out quite expensive although should last about a week. Your best bet would be to buy some clearos with replaceable parts. I started with the evods linked above and still use them every day. I have use mini protanks which are glass versions. They use the same replaceable coil heads which last me between 1-2 weeks depending on the liquid I use. Well done in stopping smoking, now you need some reliable equipment and spares!

Thanks for your warm welcome everyone, I think I have found the right site. DiscoDes, thanks for your help if I was to buy 2 of the clearomizers and 4-6 coil heads, would that sound about right to start off ???, also could you point me in the right direction for the correct coil heads.

Hi Rich, welcome to the forum and congrats on 4 days without ciggies Get 5 of these (price drops to £1.20 if you buy +5) I'd go for the 1.8ohm version. myepack.co.uk/protank-evod-coil-head.htmlIf you like the evods (I'm sure you will) you can buy packs of 5 coil units from here for £2.82 (coming from china and will usually take 10 days up to 4 weeks) www.fasttech.com/products/1476404you can also re-build the coils yourself to get more life out of each one, lot's of tutorials about that on the forum and youtube etc, any questions just ask away

This sounds like excellent advice DiscoDes but where do you get the replacement heads from? Evod kits from myepack seem to have surpassed the riva kits we were recommending a few years ago but still. Good to know what to recommend to newbies. And you will need some juice - does anyone have the link for joose juice? Jane
