Certain "factions" of the e-cig industry will send us all to the pit of destiny.

Given that one cartomizer containing 0.8ml of 24mg liquid can be 40 cigarettes and what comes out is "only water vapour with nicotine" has always been a recipe for disaster.

Is it any wonder that 20mg was the maximum allowable strength? I mean, why would anybody need to vape 4ml of 36mg when you can buy a plastic stick for £9.99 and that is plenty good enough to enable heavy smokers to quit tobacco?

The £100 million brands could have solved some of the big questions about e-cigs (what's in them, what comes out, what is the nicotine yield, are there really any dangerous ingredients?).. but they didn't.

They are too busy congratulating themselves on selling expensive, almost-pointless tat to the British consumer and lining up their retirement homes in the Cayman Islands.

Do the "big boys" give a chip if it all ends in 18 months?. NO. "Get in early... sell hard, tell lies, make money.... go home"

You know what.....despite my rage at this, I don't blame them.

By the way, I thought Totally Wicked had invested time and money trying to get a handle on the liquids? Or did I get the wrong end of the stick?
