It's for aluminum boxes I have self etching primer for adhesion I have high build primer to go on top of the etching primer ********** Missing *********** I have clear coat lacquer to go on top of the top coat Just need to fill in the *** missing part ***.....top coat, been looking on here as they seem good but for the hell of me cannot decide what one: www.rustoleumaerosols.co.uk/

tbh paint is paint if you get the hard stuff as they put it it will chip instead of scratching, you could try oven drying the normal paint as it norm takes a couple of weeks to reach full hardness at room temp and its the clear coat that you want to look at for a more durable finish not the base your mods are worth anodising or powder coating (powdercoating will add thickness to your holes so may need cleaning out for the buttons to fit) yacht varnish might be worth a look as a hard wearing top coat just apply thick coats and flat and buff

I'd opt for made up paint from a proper paint shop, they can stick it in spray cans but it is often better. I agree on the lacquer though, that's the one that'll do all the protecting but hard to get a good build up with a tin, much better from a gun if you can find someone to do it.
