Today I received my first RBA which as per the title is the HCigar Taifun GT. It looks great but am waiting for a few tools and wick and stuff to come before I play. The question I have is the shield (think it's the right name for it) which slides down for more room to build doesn't seem to lock up when you lift it. Is that right as I could've sworn that other videos I have seen on the clone it clicks into place? Apologies if this is a daft question just it's the first time outside of Kanger Aerotanks and Nautilus' for me Cheers Dave

That is what I thought, there is a bit where it does seem to grip it but it doesn't click as you've said. I went back to watch a video by Safer Vapers who had the same clone (HCigar) and from the same supplier (Vapegeek) it does seem that my one has a much smaller o-ring underneath the shield. Checked the spare ones sent with it and there isn't a fatter one to install.

Thanks for the video link, yeah mine pulls up and out so easily where he had to fight with his Will email the supplier and see what they say tomorrow. Thanks again for your help mate Oh it wasn't the o-ring as I said in the previous edit (couldn't change it though) just it doesn't have the click when it sits back up.

Mine is quite a tight fit but it doesn't click into place, I just eye it really.

Sent Vapegeek a message last night and as per normal got back to me really fast (just after 5am). They recommended to try some dental floss under the o-ring in question so I got some and will try tonight when back home.

Mine is a really tight fit & it's quite a struggle to move it......I believe the sleeve has a slight inverted ridge inside & this will sit flush with the o-ring.

With mine it seems to pull up then you feel it get easier as the recess catches the o ring when it is at the right height, be careful as it comes completely of the base if raised to far, bit of trial & error really.

Ladies and Gentlemen we have a winner! One wrap of dental floss and the shield has a lot more friction and more positve hold Thank you all who helped me with this A Happy Chappy Dave

Been playing around with my one .... Built a dual coil 1.2ohms ... Just trying to sort the wicking issues out... Passing 2 CW wicks through the 2 notches makes them too compressed, so I'm in the process of thinning them out... So far it's not much better than the single coil but I'm still tweaking
