Hi everyone I am still fairly new to vaping... About three months now but am having problems with lack of taste. So much so that I sneaked a stinky the other day just to get some flavor. ( very cross with myself for doing that!) I am still on the ego with clearomiser, haven't felt the need to upgrade yet and using RY4 or Highway juice. Lack of taste has become a bit of an issue for me, does anyone have any advice? .... I did try menthol for a bit as mentioned on another thread but it didn't help.

If so, that's the place to start. Clearos gunk up and deteriorate over time and need replacing (or need the heads replacing if they're the rebuildable kind).

Hi rozzie What kind of clearomiser are you using, and how often do you change it? Different types give a very different experience. I get most flavour from top dual coils, but other people report more flavour from single bottom coils. luckily there are many cheap clearos out there so experimenting until you find the one that works for you is not difficult. Personally I have several flavours on the go at one time. taste buds do get bored after a while. Having said that Hubby uses the same one every day and still loves it after more than a year. It is more than worth experimenting to find what works for you, once you find it everything gets a lot easier

Hi rozzieDefinitely try using menthol.I ate some cheese on toast before and oddly my tastebuds just went.I have been vaping Vamp vape (a kind member on here made for me)., then switching to homemade Mocha. I have a homemade menthol mix which I use as an emergency if it happens again. Have you got around to trying Red Astaire yet?,as I found that works too.

Thanks for the advice. I change my clearo regularly and use the simple ones I think!... Not too sure to be honest but they are the same ones that came with the ego kit. I did try some sweet flavors, then a coffee one and decided that tobacco type flavors were best for me. I will have to look into red Astaire, its a pity cos I love highway/RY4 when I can taste it.

I'm guessing that you are using a CE4 type clearomiser. I would highly recommend getting an iClear16 which look and cost about the same, but are far superior in every way. I can not understate the difference between different types of clearomiser. I am a Red Astaire fan too, although I find the premixed rather strong, and mix my own at half the recommended strength I find that the flavours I enjoyed changed after I had been off the stinkies for a few weeks, something most people experience. It may be that what you liked before just isn't right anymore.

If they did, they are £2.40 which is too much really. Might still be worth it... ??

Or also known as a plinth rozzie . . . . they tidy up the gap on your battery with certain tanks. www.vapeescape.co.uk/Vaping-Spares/Tanks--Accessories/Tank-Plinths.htmlBut you won't need one with the Iclear16, it's Ego threaded so will screw directly onto the outer set of battery threads. I'd suggest rotating your flavours more regularly, having 3 or 4 on the go at one time, helps stop your taste buds from getting too tuned in, I find anyway.

Did you stopped smoking ? If you stopped smoking recently you need time to desensitize from the tobacco.
