hi guys my nemesis should be here tommorow. i bought the following to go on it that is until all my other stuff comes from fasttech as i have a brass/steel nemi coming from there but full stainless will be here tommorow ordered the following... --------------------------------------------------- was posted out yesterday from : greyhaze.co.uk/did not come today so expecting it all tommorow the stuff i got from there was ....................................... Kanger Protank 3 & Aero Tank Spare Coil - 2.0 OHMS Fulfilled Mar 17 PROTANK32.0COIL £1.99 2 £3.98 eFest IMR Battery Li-Mn - 18500 flat top Fulfilled Mar 17 18500 £5.99 2 £11.98 eFest IMR Battery Li-Mn - 18650 flat top Fulfilled Mar 17 EFEST18650 £6.99 2 £13.98 eFest IMR Battery Li-Mn - 18350 flat top Fulfilled Mar 17 EFEST18350 £5.49 2 £10.98 Supressor Stubby - BRASS Fulfilled Mar 17 ST034 £7.99 1 £7.99 Aero Tank Kanger Fulfilled Mar 17 AREO £18.99 1 £18.99 HCIGAR Nemesis Mechanical Mod - STAINLESS STEEL Fulfilled Mar 17 NEMESIS £32.49 1 £32.49 Subtotal £90.35 Signed For 1st Class Free for £50 and over: £0.00 Total £90.35 ------------------------------------------------------- dam i am spending far to much on vaping gear this past 2 weeks i have spent about £300 lol ok anyway, also a member of these forums sent me 2x magnets for the switch. i also have other batterys and stuff and will be using the mod with a kanger aerotank @2.0-2.1ohms coils.... now here is where it gets tricky for me anyway being new. i will not have access to a evol kick 2 or any type of kick. and i have read people using these mods without a kick.... so my questions where how do i use the mod without kick and not end up burning out my coil ? I probably should have ordered the kick first ehh.... there very expensive though if i need one of those to even be able to use it with the coil/wicks i have where can i order it from that has it in stock and can get to an address by tomorrow in the uk lol

It's fine without the kick, never used one yet and have no problems running various coils. I don't know where the idea comes from that you might burn your coils without one?
I actually vape a caramel blend so need to sometimes pop the wick out and get the coil glowing to clean it up a bit.

The advantage of the kick is that you will have consistent power delivered to your coil throughout the charge of your battery rather than the 4.2 volts on a fresh battery gradually reducing to the 3 volts or thereabouts that you will get without the kick. The kick will also cut off power before the battery discharges to a level that could be detrimental to battery life. It also provides short circuit protection, again by cutting off power if a short circuit is detected.
Vape Escape and Cloud9vaping both stock the Evolv kicks

Personally, I wouldn't use 2ohm coils on a mech - you'll possibly (probably) find the vape quite unsatisfying! This is where a kick would come in handy to up the voltage (and keep it consistent) If you rewick yourself, you could use a lower resistance for a more powerful vape.
I find a 1.3ohm coil works OK for me down to about 3.7v. Then, for me, flavour and vapour have dropped off too much, so I must charge. I have plenty of batteries, so at the voltages I run between, it seems the only advantage of a kick would be the short circuit protection.

I've just stuck my kick 2 in my precise+/aw imr 500 with an aero tank on top and its great, consistent and what's good its variable. Also stuck my iclear 30 on it and the same. So when it suits I have 3 variable wattage mods.

ok another question guys, seems i have spent all my moneys this week hahaha running short on cashflow so if i skip getting the evolv 2 kick and just wait for fasttech as i have these on order with them but they wont send out until all the order is ready kinda sucks that they do that, anyway i guess its to cut down on anything getting lost. : 2x Variable Wattage Kick Module for Mechanical Mod / PV as you can see i should be able to use the mod and wait then once these arrive i can use these no point in wasteing £40 for something thats already on its way soon to me haha. Variable wattage - can be adjustable from 5.0 Watts to 12.0 Watts Atty resistance - 1.5 ohms to 3.0 ohms Short circuit protection FYI: How to install Note: IMR batteries are recommended for use in this device ---------------------------------------------------------------------- there not as good as evol kick 2 as it does 5-15w and these do 5-12w but i probably wont use about 12w anyway 10 is about my highest enyhoo

My max is 8 point something on the K2 using off the shelf atty's. If doing a coil myself I wouldn't use the kick. Evolve recommend the AW IMR'S! What I may get is one of those volt checking tank thingy's to confirm the kick setting.

Its no problem checking the resistance of the atty as I have an ohm atty checker, a provari and an svd. The problem is confirming the read out on the mod from the kick as the kick has a notched dial for changing with no read off.

I just use my svd for higher watts and reading ohms, leave the mech as is, you can feel the hit diminish as the battery runs down so when that happens I just stick in a fresh one.
