Nemesis with smok kick problem, pic, help/advice please

Hi all I took delivery of my nemesis clone yeaterday quickly tried it in 18650 mode without the kick extension and slim ring, just for a minute though as my batteries are unprotected and all was fine there.

Anyway today my smok kick arrived but can I get it to work can I eckers like. I've followed a couple of google vids and the instructions in this LINK . I've set it up right of that I'm reasonably confident. Atty/top piece with kick extension tube attached, kick adjusted to 7 watts placed inside carefully ensuring contact pin is in contact with tube, also ensuring the dial side is towards the top/atty end of the tube. Next is one of the longer tubes followed by the chrome slim ring followed by the longest tube and switch. I loosened the switch end to put it all together neatly and carefully, I then tightened gently until no battery wobble. Of course I have also made sure that the connection pin is making contact with the atty. I press my fire button and nothing. I've tried 3 different 18650 fully charged batteries so that isn't the problem

I'm sure thats it but if I'm making a glaring mistake I can't see it and hopefully someone will jump in with a "Jay you dip5hit this is where you've gone wrong"

I want to point out aswell I noticed before I even started the quality of the kick doesn't look quite right. The  adjustment dial looks like it's had a screwdriver in and gnarled it up a bit. I've posted a pic and it's best quality I can get with my phone but it's visible enough.

Where did you get your Nemesis clone from JayJ? I bought mine from LTecigs and have been having the same problem. Someone mentioned some clones having a coating on the inside of the tube that prevents the kick from making proper contact. I've not scraped at mine yet, but if you bought from the same place, I might give it a try.

Maybe the kick is dodgy, hard to confirm I think without a tankometer, others may know better.

Have you left the little 5mm beauty ring out of the kick, it's likely you don't need that.

Oh also any chance you popped the coil when you hit it with fully charged battery without the kick, just a thought

The kick seems defective :s I never owned a Smok one but that almost seems like it melted or had a screwdriver messing it all around...
The battery isn't rattling is it?

Not had a smok either but zooming in on that pic the dial doesn't look great it has to be said

newdawn I've given the inside of the nemesis a going over with some p600 wet and dry for a few minutes. Greg if I leave the 5mm beauty ring out I'd have to unscrew the switch out too far I'm using panny 3400mah they're quite large. I've tried efest 2600mah with no joy aswell. The coil is fine, it's been working as usual on a spinner. Anyways still not firing. The condition of the adjustment screw on the kick worried me straight away if I'm honest.

JayJ your kick looks wrong to me. If it's working without a kick then I would expect it's your kick that's the problem. They can be a bit fragile and should be in better condition than that one.

The other thing that looks wrong is that the blue bit seems to be fitted back to front. If you look at the net pic the side without markings is to the outer edge, whereas on yours it's facing the pin

have you turned screw about on the kick? i use my nem in 18650 with a kick without the smallest ring, is the kick deffinatly making contact with the battery?

geordie_vaper Yes mate I've tried adjusting the screw, I've tried without the beauty ring with the panny battery and tbh with the slightly larger panny I think it needs the ring. I've tried one of the efests without the beauty ring, a better fit but still not firing and contact definately being made. @oneday I hadn't noticed that, very observant of you.

I've mailed the vendor with a full explanation of the problem hopefully I'll hear from them soon. Not a happy chappy though, I expected to be chugging away on my mech today as I've been using a spinner since my zmax packed in.
