Tried adding a pic of my Russian but all it does is take me back to the forum following upload What am I doing wrong? Btw just done my first twisted wire coil Are you trying to load a pic straight to here? You need to upload it to somewhere like photobucket then copy the direct link and paste that in the pic box. Not sure if your on an iPad but if you are I could never get that that post image org malarkey to work reliably. Use photobucket as said then just copy and paste the img code

One question to you Dan" Do you own or have you tried a NatureVape Pro Coil/Tank" ? If not then don't be so quick to dismiss other Vapers opinions and question their build skills.Quick reply to your bro..tongue in cheek of course because he seems to like them Lets get this straight, the NatureVape tank is a KANGER head with microcoil and organic cotton.. how is that different to someone building their own microcoil in any of the kanger tanks? Thick vapour, yes. full flavour, definitely not! Why kid yourself? The design of the kanger head is great for beginners but rbas rule the roost for flavour.. simple! Chrissie, no need for pms, have no interest in being further insulted by someone who clearly has a vested interest.

Not sure why you tagged me Dan as I haven't posted on this thread until now. However, I do completely agree with Karma. Plus if you think someone has a vested interest, I'd be grateful if you could PM me with any evidence.

Was trying to do two things at once and was on my phone. No idea why I tagged you. Didn't even think to check I'd got the right tag!! of course I have no hard evidence, but it just seems a bit sus.. 90% of his posts are in this thread promoting a *new* tank that's supposedly the bees knees. A protank with microcoil, Yippee!! I only asked about his build in his kayfun due to him saying this naturevape thingy was on par. Was going to help the guy.. not only did he completely avoid the question (who doesn't want help with getting the best out of their kit?) but he then started on the defensive with silly remarks. as I say.. bit sus for a new member.. Not to mention his language and innuendos being offensive.. it's this kind of thing that puts people off of helping.. maybe I'm over reacting but there really is no need for this rubbish.. and then he not only stalks what I've posted elsewhere to get one up, but gets it wrong too! Why woukd anyone go to that much trouble?

Hope it workers this time. Firstly, I'm sorry for the whole episode on your thread. Didn't intend for this to happen! Here's your picture if it helps show my apology What device are you using to post? And what browser? how you getting on with the twisted wires by the way? Few pointers that may or may not help.. firstly, you may find that the stock screws don't hold the wire very well.. TRY THESE (you'll want 1.6×3mm)secondly, which wire are you using? I've messed around with twisted wire since before xmas, and found the best setup to be the following.. first, you'll need three strands of 0.20 kanthal a1 of equal length. I do about 6-8" per coil to give decent length legs to work with. Twist one end and insert into the chuck of a variable speed drill, hold the other end with a pair of something like these (being able to clamp the wire means you c an concentrate on not only the speed of the drill but you can use them to take excess twist out when done. put the drill on forward setting, hold wire at tension, and start twisting. Start slow and gradually build up to a medium speed. When you feel the wire starting to contract you're done. hold drill above the forceps and let go of them (the forceps) allowing them to spin. Them spinning takes any excess twists out. remove wire from drill, hold wire vertical with forceps and give it a good burn with a blowtorch (I use this one)you can then wrap it. I use a 2mm blunt needle for this. You want 9 coils looking at from above. I then put the new coil into these and give it a nice long torch from all angles. Leave to cool. once cool, remove from tweezers, reinsert 2mm needle, and fix to the atty deck. Lift about 2mm from the deck and check the ohms. Should be around 1.6ohms. fire it up and use a pair of pin nose pliers to make sure all the coils are sitting nice and tight. insert cotton through the coil and have it sit like this making sure the cotton doesn't block the juice channels. this is easier if the cotton is slightly wet. trim cotton, build it up, fill it up, and you're done. leave it for 5-10 minutes to make sure the cotton is saturated and vape away in heaven!

Hmm ... I've only tried twisting 2 lengths of .2 mm kanthal ... Might give the 3 strands a go

i find 2 strands .20 twisted, then coiled around a cotton bud stick (aroud 2.3 to 2.5 ml diameter i think) 6 wraps, gives 1.6 ohms and wicked with cotton is great.

The reason I use 3 strands and 2mm needle is to give better wick coverage. The more coverage, the better the flavour. Heatup time is quite quick too with this setup. This is often the only drawback of twisted wires (or even high diameter single wire) and so a compromise has to be done. others worth trying are 2×0.15 with 1×0.20 2×0.20 with 1×0.15 3×0.15 4×0.15 2×0.25 Loads of opportunities to mess around! Bonus is that when you find one that works for you, it will last months!

Might give the 3 strands a go Problem with only using 2 strands is that it's not very easy to get the coils sitting straight and tight.. too much pressure with tweezers will see them overlap or lose shape. not a massive issue but I prefer to have a coil that'll stand a bit of abuse makes rewicking so much easier..

Oh, and if anyone is getting dry hits, try arranging the cotton in the same manner as used in the navynest. Brilliant for high vg juices!
