sainsburys local didn't have it last night. Neither did spar, coop or premier (premier had zippo fluid though)... Pound land came up trumps . Got it for my blow torch for coiling Worth knowing

Do you have Home Bargains Jane they sell it, i think i got my last can (when i was smoking) from Tesco i would imagine at any supermarket they are behind the cig counter because of sniffers

BOC may be useful for butane. There are some mini butane blowtorch devices available and you put a throw away lighter into it then close it up and it uses the gas from inside the lighter, the lighter is not useable afterwards, this might be useful if you find the throw away lighters are available in a wider range of shops than the bottles of butane. There are similar blow torches that can run from a lighter or from being refilled from a can of butane, these would give the most options.
