I don't seem to have much luck with batteries I've got 3 EgoT batteries - 1 marked eGo-T which has a pale blue light in the button, and 2 marked eGo-T TM both of which have a more vivid blue light. I've been sitting working editing video on the 'puter all morning happily having the occasional vape some 666 in a CE3; then I take a pull and nothing happens. Thinking the battery was flat - which I was expecting - I took the CE3 off and put it on a freshly charged battery; took a pull and NOTHING. Only then did I notice the slight, but unmistakable 'electrics' smell, now both the batteries marked eGo-T TM are sitting on my desk with nothing attached to them but their blue lights are on. The third battery, with the paler light and no TM bit on the logo has been on the charger for a couple of hours, but it's going to have to come off now 'cos I'm stressed and need a good nicotine hit! I can only assume that the CE3 has taken these two other batteries out though I don't have any way of testing it. The CE3 in question has been filled perhaps 9 or 10 times. Now I'm down to one battery I'm loath to put another CE3 on it, and my original Riva atties are crap. I've got a Giantomizer which I don't like, CE2s that need cleaning and a pile of 510 Boge cartos which need a boil - Deep Joy! I've gone right off these CE3s now - that's 3 batteries in all that I've lost because of them - yes I know the 2nd one to go today was my fault. I just wish I understood the difference between the batteries ??? ??? Anyone any ideas? Being down to one battery is as bad on the nerves as not being able to find your damn fags! I think I'm going to have to see if Jason is up to a personal visit from a wodge of cash tomorrow

i have heard of cases where the Smokemisers have shorted out ego batteries ...also on provari's but they luckily have safety circuitry built in.... i'm not saying this is the cause but this has held me back from trying the smokemisers on my ego batteries untill i get a mod

Jason is always up for visits from wodges But, in all seriousness, I'm sorry to hear about your problems Andy. To try and help with the batteries....the eGo-T with pale light are manufactured by Joye and the ones with TM are not. Thats not to say that any of them are better than the others, it's just that virtually every battery manufacturer has copied the original eGo-T variety from Joyetech/Janty Hope that helps

as Jason said the ones with the bright blue button is what i had for my first starter kit and my batteries died in much the same way by being conected to what i thought was a faulty atty... but now im not too sure.... my second kit from LF was the white light button and they are working great ...touch wood

Am thinking of trying the dual coil cartos, basically 'cos they hold a bit more juice than the Boge ones I've got which are 35mm long - but again any feedback gratefully taken onboard. I need to get this lot sorted once and for all - think I'm going to get a passthru aswell - is the eGo style one or a Stick best? Again, thanks for the replies folks

Again, thanks for the replies folks Hi Andy I started with the eGo tank atty but found that it took alot of the flavour away from my juice I got a few regular 510 attys and attempted dripping but its too much hassle and i get leaking juice as the ego batteries dont have a juice well next i tried the boges and like them alot LR are a better bet too not to mention they are well cheap I've just recently tried a dual coil and you are right they do take alot more juice... over 2ml on first fill (i didnt think they were that big) to be honest i was a tad disapointed as i was expecting a big increase in vapour over the boges but i would say that its quite minimal I have some kanger horizontal coils but not tried them yet but have heard only good things about them CE2's for the clearomisers... i love the fact that you can swap out juices really easily with a syringe and the taste and vapour are fab but there is the odd dry/burnt hit and all too often juice in the mouth due to the coil being at the top of the tube.... the real deal braker for these is the fragile tube and even when changed for a tougher tube they can be dislodged all too easily to solve some of the issues of the CE2's i want to try the buds or the smokymisers but the latter is a no no untill they get them sorted or untill i get a mod which brings be nicely onto my next subject... these ego type batteries are great for what they are but i think a mechanical mod is the way to go... initial outlay is higher but will save cash in the long run... and as its mechanical there is nothing that can go wrong hope this helps in some way Andy

Have you tried an Arry Tank with your clearo innards Tye?
I get on famously with them, although I'll be the first to admit, that the flavour is a little compromised, as with all the tank systems I've so far tried . . . bar the Iatty & UFS.

mechanical is simply a battery with a mechanical switch more often than not at the bottom of the device ...so yeah a don, gg, cube, icon etc etc.... they have no electronic circuitry so in effect nothing that can go wrong ego, riva, provari, buzz, box mods etc all have electronic circuitry and as such as you found out are more likely to fail im not saying that either is better and in fact i will eventually get a mechanical mod as well as a variable voltage mod
