You might consider going mech no electical crap to piss you off, they just work all the time.... and if you dont want to mess about with recoiling/wicking ect you can buy pre coils/ recommend aerotank or nautilus and just buy the coils. ------------------------------------------- though when you get the hang of recoiling yourself with cotton its so much cheaper and piss easy to do. just did a recoil for myself 1.7ohms 5 wraps with organic cotton, and its lush lots of tuts and information on these forums about it and it will save you loads of money.

Hey Just have to ask ... do you know about the multi click of the vape button that turns the unit off? If you do know then I don't think you are daft, but a lot of newbies don't realise and turn it off without realising Hope you get sorted asap

Regardless of how long I charge it for, the battery element is just dead. No lights, no display, nothing :-( Does the button flash or light up when you plus the charger in?

In theory a dodgy clearomiser shouldn't damage a mod with protection against shorts.
You do have an extra worry now though, as the shop where you got the iTaste from has a patchy track record.
I am not having a massive pop at them (well, not directly I hope) but can I make an important suggestion please?
IF you send it back.. do it all with signed-for/recorded post. Be firm and stand your ground. I have read stories about people sending things back, not getting replacements and giving up. Do not use email... it will be ignored.
Good luck.

Hi Wolfvape the clearo's you got are exactly right and should not have damaged your battery. I have the itaste vv3 and mine are still good after 6 months. That seems a very expensive shop when you can get a back-up battery myepack.co.uk/batteries/innokin-itaste-vv-v3-0-express-kit.html £19.99 + postage. I was a heavy smoker and have 2 of these batteries one on charge while the other is in use. As others have said try turning it off and on again. It won't work as a pass through if your battery is too low. Also try using another charger it could be your charger at fault. Any micro USB charger is fine. I use my kindle charger quite often.

If I was to hazard a guess I would think that when you put the new clearo's on that the grommet under the centre pin got damaged and shorted to the outer part of the connector. It's probably melted a wire and may well be repairable.

It's probably melted a wire and may well be repairable. I agree. Innokin center pins are traditionally insulated rather badly (there's a fibre - I think) insulator just under the visible part of the centre pin which breaks down over time (especially with the accumulation of juice that's seeped out of a clearo through the male 510 connector). It's a relatively easy temporary fix and only a little harder as a permanent fix. This shows how it is done on an Innokin SVD : You could try going back to UK Ecig Store but, judging by this thread.... ukvapers.org/Thread-UK-ECIG-STORE-Terrible-Customer-Service

Wow I get home from work and all this lovely help! DiscoDes I'm in Frome dragon Thanks and I did smile because it's exactly the kind of thing I would do but no, it's definitely not turning on @the other people - the place I bought it from has sent me a returns label and said that I should do special delivery etc so if I do send it back I'll heed your warnings I've not got any other charger in the house that works with this battery so it's hard to check whether that's the problem. I have tried to 'lift the pin' as suggested by someone but that's not got me anywhere. I'm still worrying that the sudden heat I got was the warning sign and it's completely dead now. It's doubly frustrating because I've been at work all day, nowhere near a bricks and mortar shop and now I'm really really regretting the no back-up mistake. I even (sorry in advance) looked at those crappy garage e-cig things but walked away empty handed. Thanks again. Oh and I'm going to watch that video now tomj777

Oh my giddy aunt! I've cleaned it, I've lifted the pin, I've prayed and now I have a faint blinking red light under the button. It's only very faint, like a cry from a long long way away but..... we might be getting somewhere. I'll leave it charging for as long as I can. Fingers crossed and all that.

As to the crappy e-cig from the garage, at least it's an e-cig not a cigarette. I carry a couple of cig-alikes in the car just in case. Never had to use them fortunately, but it's nice to know they're there. I will NOT go back to fags whatever happens to my kit

And now the faint flashing light has stopped......am beginning to think it might well be the micro usb charger not working properly. Oh gawd I wish I had a phone charger that fitted. Grrrrrrrrr.

But (I know you're all hanging on my every word...ahem!!) in a random stroke of genius, I raided my daughter's pink plastic camera bag and found that it had a MICRO USB CHARGER and now the light is RED and I think my iTaste is CHARGING which means that at some point, I should be able to vape and will be a happy bunny (Wolf) again.
And now I'm VAPING!!!
Thank you all. I think the hive-mind fixed it this time. Everyone's suggestions were tried.
PS Have ordered a back-up.
