A blonde senile moment of clarity...

Sometimes my stupidity even surprises me...I fell off the vaping wagon spectacularly a while ago. I, of course, put it down to stress etc, but it just wasn't 'doing it' for me. Then I came back on here - thank goodness -  and saw the success and how peeps were loving their e-cigs and well, all the other wonderful stuff...and I wondered why vaping wasn't working for me? And then reading through some of the threads, the fog lifted and I suddenly realised I needed a stronger nicotine hit!  That's all. That was it! So I got myself some 24mg juice - the Hangsen Gold/Silver and YIPPEEEEEEEE! Sorted! I'm going to put my stupidity down to age - cos I can, but all I can say is how fabby I feel now.  I feel as though I am properly 'one of the gang' and I want to say a big thank you to all on here.  I am so chuffed with how I feel and better still, how other people say I am now.  More energy, no snoring (thank you husband) smell sweet, etc.  You all know, of course, but as usual I'm late to the party.

I knew this time, I would be ok as I decided to try my new 24mg hit whilst on a weekend away to Venice, which our son had bought us for Christmas. I knew I couldn't smoke anywhere in hotels or on the plane, so I figured vaping could only help, esepcially with my abject fear of flying! And help it jolly well did! I happily vaped my way around a flooded St Marks Square (yep, if it's going to happen, it's going to happen to us   ) and in the hotel bar and restaurant and had a sneaky on the plane. Bliss! Not had a stinky since and I don't intend to either...My husband and I have a deal; if I break and have a stinky then he'll break his diet, or if he breaks his diet, I can have a stinky!! (He doesn't realise that I don't want to touch another fag ever again, but I'm not letting on, cos he's doing so well losing weight..)



So there we are. A great big fat thank you to you all.  I've also just got into my lovely Mint/Choc flavour which I have after dinner and with my coffee and it's bloody lovely

I often think people are wrong in trying to limit their nicotine intake especially in the early days and end up "falling off the wagon" or just not able to make the switch totally and "duel fuel".

Now don't shoot me down here but I think we need to take a leaf out of the "Big Tobacco" book and ask WHY (and I'm sure they have done their user panel tests etc) that the E-Cigs like the Vype and Njoy are supplied at 45 mg nicotine strength YES 45mg!!
It is because at this level of nicotine the body will absorb the same amount of nicotine that you would get from a stinkie. Thus stopping the cravings, that is why I think if you're a 20 a day smoker trying ecigs that you should start on 24mg AT THE MINIMUM possibly 36mg, bearing in mind a Ego/Evod etc will probably give a better delivery than a cig-a-like.

Just my thoughts.

Wow, 45MG? That's scary, very scary and shocking to think that normal stinkies could or have been that 'strong?'  When I first started to think about vaping I didn't give strength of nicotine a thought - hence, obviously the spectacular fall...Maybe, like me, a lot of newbies don't realise or think about the nicotine strenth? Should be the first consideration really, I guess, but as I said, I blame my age   I blame an awful lot of stuff on my age. It's a great excuse for unadulterated stupidity of which, I have become the master...or mistress recently. (either that or the vodka consumption...or the red wine...or maybe the prosecco..erm... )

Thanks, Sammy! I've been told I have a permanent smile on my face. Having been on the stinkies for 30 years I never thought that this little miracle could change my life so dramatically. I walked my dog 5 miles today with my friend and she said I didn't puff or pant once. Thank goodness I found this fab forum...i'm a new woman Blokey is pretty good too.
