www.ebay.co.uk/itm/18350-Aluminium-mod-tube-Evic-BRAND-NEW-/321248608324?pt=UK_Collectables_Tobacciana_Smoking_LE&var=&hash=item4acbe8c044
The link above is what I ordered and was delivered to me today so I could use the 18350 battery.
Problem is that when I put it on the evic main head and hit the fire button, I will only get 2 / 6 seconds of firing then the whole unit shuts down. The only way to get it to all boot again is by undoing the tube and re attaching.
I did buy another trustfire battery from the seller aswell, same thing happens with that. Tried charging the batteries but got no change.
I've tried lots of tanks on the tube and the same thing is happening. Have I been sold / bought a pile of crap or what ?
Feels good in the hand this size but gutted it's not working.
Hit me with your thoughts.....

Hello Dan,
It works fine with the standard tubeset.
I can't stretch the spring anymore than it is, it's a fecker to get the bottom cap on anyway because of the spring.
Got it plugged in and charging with the eBay tube and battery and I can vape on it fine. It's reading 87% charged with no plug in, same plugged in to the mains but I can use it.
I reckon that I have been sold 2 dud batteries.
By the way mate, matey at work still hasn't sorted nothing !

Definitely follow Dan's advice as a start - I had the same issue with my Kir fanis tele tube and a spring stretch solved it. If it doesn't work, the white plastic bit at the top could be too low so the head doesn't make sufficient (or only intermittent) contact with the battery. Screw the head in, and stick your finger up there ( fiddles) - can you feel the evic nipple sticking out ( fiddles), or is it flush with the plastic? If it isn't protruding enough you may have to remove the white cap. It might be stuck in, but it's worth checking.

Am I right in saying that when I put the 18350 tube and battery on, I have to go to battery settings, customise, then adjust the settings to 1200. The battery's I bought are 1200 mah.
Cheers..

Cheers.. Wouldn't make a blind bit of difference to the performance. Sounds to me like the batteries are not producing enough current under load. There are so many stories about some batteries being reclaimed laptop cells that I will only buy known brand from a reputable supplier. coukd you not return them (not fit for purpose) and buy from somewhere else? Adjusting the mah setting enables it to work out the battery % thats left more accurately by the way.

Great response again Dan. I have the eBay batteries charging in my i4 at the moment so fingers crossed all will be okay.
I popped up to see Paul at vapour trails in Biggleswade this morning and grabbed an Efest battery. Whacked that in the new tube and vaped away happily all the way back home.
Nice bloke is Paul, not the cheapest but 25 minutes to get to him and he stocks a fair amount of gear.
Should of given you a shout before I went up there, we could have grabbed a coffee and had a meet up
Catch you soon mate.
Ade.

Ade. Can only hope they're not fubared. Lot of hassle with returning stuff.. well at least you've got a working setup now.. strongly recommend Torchythebatteryboy for any future battery buys.. just a case of hoping he has stock.. Paul seems to be getting more in every time I visit. He had some new juices in last week which sound interesting! I would've been up for that. Went to bedford to see Lego movie with my son though. 2 hours of childhood memories!

If it does turn out to be the batteries, can I suggest you not buy anything with the word 'fire' in it, the best ones are AW IMRs, Efest IMRs or Samsung INRs or if you are on UKV look for Torchy (he's on eBay as well but better deals on UKV), his are recommended as well.
