Just stumbled across an interesting article, regarding bleeding gums and other side effects due to vaping. Currently, I have been experiencing inconsistent gum bleeding continuously for about 1 year. I started vaping around 2 years ago, I found it strange that this occurred after 1 year. Firstly,I removed PG from my mixes, and changed my PG Nic Base to a VG Nic Base,as I had red patches on my skin. Went to the Dentist, who was mystified, I had gum x-rays, nothing untoward, even though I've had crowns and a bridge. He just said "Keep flossing, and use the Electric toothbrush plaque remover." I must state,at this point ,I was not drinking a lot of water, to rehydrate my mouth - DOH! www.drh.org.uk/electronic-cigarette-safety-and-effect-on-teethThe jist of the article, is the higher strength of nicotine, the more the mouth ,will become more dry.- producing less saliva.i.e. bleeding gums. People who smoke or use nicotine patches may need more vitamin C because nicotine makes vitamin C less effective in the body. Signs of vitamin deficiency include dry and splitting hair; gingivitis (inflammation of the gums) and bleeding gums; rough, dry, scaly skin; decreased wound-healing rate, easy bruising; nosebleeds; and a decreased ability to ward off infection. So,I will lower my Nic mg, drink more water, and take a 1 1000mg Vitamin C tablet a day. Hopefully, these procedures will remedy my situation Hope this post aids any fellow member, who is currently having similar symptoms to myself.

Interesting article , when I initially stopped smoking and started vaping I had bleeding gums which has now stopped , my dentist said it was common when stopping smoking as more blood can actually circulate to the gums .

My gums are old before their time due to the amount of cigarettes I smoked.
Overall I have noticed a great improvement in oral hygiene since I quit the smokes but still have problems that will take a long time to improve and I am aware that by vaping I am making this healing process take even longer.

Your gums are knackered from all the smoking over the years, I reckon it's just a late development that they're bleeding now.
